Welcome to HP Indigo’s supplies take-back program

As part of HP’s commitment to the environment, the HP Indigo supplies take-back program aims to reduce the overall impact of HP Indigo print operations on the environment. It is a free-of-charge service for the take-back of used supplies and the reuse of selected product components, ensuring that your HP products are recycled responsibly and/or disposed of in accordance with local regulations.

Please be part of HP’s effort to reduce the environmental impact of digital printing with HP Indigo.

Advantages for the customer

Return your used HP Indigo supplies free of charge—the program covers take-back of used BIDs, empty ElectroInk cans, used imaging oil, and used bobbin wires.1

Ensure your HP products are recycled responsibly and/or disposed off in accordance with local regulations.

How to return your HP Indigo waste

If you are interested in being a part of the HP Indigo take-back program, please follow this process:

Request for collection

Once you need your waste to be picked up, please follow this process:

Step 1

Fill in the 'Request for collection' order form (available on the link below)

Step 2

You will receive an e-mail confirmation with the request number

Step 3

You will be contacted by HP’s service provider to arrange the collection details within 2 working days

Important note: Please understand that only used HP Indigo BID units, BID Bases, BID Developer Rollers, bobbin wires, empty ink cartridges, and used imaging oil may be returned through this program.

Return of any other types of waste, including third-party waste, may lead to the exclusion from this program, and associated logistics and disposal cost for such unauthorized returns will be charged to you. Please notice that all BIDs need to be returned: BIDs, BID Bases, and BID Developer Rollers.

Imaging oil, ink canister and BID request for collection

Please note that to order a collection, a minimum quantity of imaging oil is required (the minimum amount depends on the country, and the specific quantity is indicated in the 'Request for collection' form). At the time of collection, HP’s service provider will collect all remaining waste available at the customer's site (BIDs, ink canisters, etc.).
