Rated 1 out of 5 by from Had enough, sending it back It will not work with the Desktop which I brought at the same time. However I have been able to remotely open the drawer. Really exciting!! I have managed to get it working with my old laptop. No idea if it is a problem with this unit or the Desktop. I have spoken to several "techs" at HP who don't seem to know how to fix the problem. I will be sending the unit back Monday afternoon

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Could have been a lot easier So this didn't connect straight to my laptop as it was supposed to. I contacted support which was an absolute pain. I was sent in 5 different directions and told I would have to hang up and call again as I had been transferred to the wrong section. I ended up using a different app to access the drive which was fine but is a round-a-bout way of doing it. I have given 3 stars as I did get it to work, however lost stars due to the support desk being completely unhelpful.

It doesn't seem to know it is there. My old HP notebook has since been repaired and the new gear has been filed in the bottom of the broom cupboard.

I did have to find an app to allow me to use the drive, but this only took a few minutes . I was able to find a free app which seems to be working perfectly.

I bought an external PC DVD drive, it arrived, it was in a box and all the contents were as expected. I haven’t had a chance to try it yet, however I have received multiple emails requesting this review. If only one of the emails had been an email asking if I had received the product, were the contents intact and was I happy with the product.

Questions and Answers

Why is there limited region changed? this will render it useless if I have to change more than 5 times. Why isn't multi region an option? After all they are designed to be portable and travel.
