Rated 5 out of 5 by from Printer review The machine is excellent - However setting it up is a night mare - we still have got scanning working - and I needed a tech to get part of it to work - On the web site when we purchased the printer it wasnt clear that the machine didnt have web access - we now have a cord connecting to our home internet !!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from No WiFi HO have way too many models. Many look identical but you must read very carefully to find which one actually dies what you want. A clue is in the last 3 letters of the suffix. This printer looked great until I found out that it could only be connected with a LAN cable. WiFi function is NOT fitted. The manuals cover all the models. Therefore very confusing when the unique manual tells you to select the WiFi SSID only to discover that option is not installed. HP Smart App is not very smart and doesn’t help in the setup process. It dyed not identify the unique model you have but rather the class of printer. I think the fan means Fax, Duplex, Network. Except Network is LAN and not WiFi. Should have a ‘W’ in the suffix group.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Working Printer, but HP Support is very poor I purchased my printer from the HP Australia website. It was not clear to me on the website that M283fdn is not a wireless printer. After I week of multiple attempts over phone, email, and whatsapp, I have not been able to get any answer from HP to facilitate a replacement. After sales customer support is very very poor from an established brand. The good news is that the printer is actually working fine, and in the meantime I sourced a wireless router and have been able to network my printer inspite of not having built-in wireless capability. However, this is thanks to my personal resourcefulness, and not through HP support.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from NO TECH SERVICE NUMBER IN AUSTRALIA We have three computers utilizing this printer. Problem with printer always being offline. Spent many hours with the Phillipines trying to fix problem on two separate days . Printer is working on two computers, one is still offline. I do not have the time to continuously ring the Philippines and wait online. You need tech assistance in Australia.
