Excellent Clarity of Printing
I am very happy with the HP Smart Tank 7305 All-in-one Printer. It produces clear black or colour print or pictures. I love the duplex feature. It was very easy to install on my HO Laptop. The scanning feature will be great for us.

Design Fault
I purchased this HP Smart Tank 7305 printer/scanner in August 2023 because I was impressed with the longevity and price of the ink bottles as compared with cartridges. Six months later, due to a fault of dragging double pages through when scanning, though not when copying, I got a replacement. 18 months later, I had the same fault with that one. Now I'm onto the third machine and after only 5 days I got same fault yet again. Clearly, this model has a design fault. Ref: CRM:0079503102948

Early Impressions: Reliable and Easy to Use” “One Week In and Very Happy” “Solid Start for the HP
I purchased the HP SmartTank 7305 about a week ago, so it is still early days to give a complete assessment. That said, so far it has been performing very well. It prints clearly and efficiently, connects easily to my devices without any issues, and the apps, both desktop and mobile, are straightforward and reliable.
At this stage, I am giving it four stars, mainly because I feel it needs a few months of consistent use before I can fully judge its long-term performance. For now, though, I am very happy with the purchase. The printer is doing exactly what it promises, and everything has worked smoothly from the moment I set it up.

Power off and restart problems
Worked okay for first 6 months, then ec
everytime, there was a power or wife outage, it was very hard to get going again. Spent $250 ,getting a technical Guru to come out a couple of times. Finally a few weeks before warranty ran ou, I took it back to Harvey Norman Croydon Victoria on 2 occasions and they said there was a problem and HP replace with a new one.
Hopefully This will be better.

Great for home
Print quality is excellent, set was ok until one gets the part of connecting to your device. I spent a consiable time following the instructions only to be told 'no device found'. I considered options and decided to reboot my router, my device and the printer all at the same time. Hey presto it worked. I didn't realise when I bought it that there was no USB to allow scanning to USB. This is really helpful to send files by email all at once. The only way I have found to do this is take a photo of each page and download each photo to my drive to attach to emails. This is more time consuming than sticking a USB drive in and scanning the pages directly. Maybe there is another way.

Double sided printing & lard ink tanks that can be refilled.
We bought this HP 7305 All in one printer because the previous printer was using too much ink which was very costly. This printer was a breeze to instal with no problems. Just follow the guide provided.
Filling the huge ink tanks was easy & installing the print heads was a no brainer. this printer prints on both sides of the paper & the ink lasts for ever. we highly recommend this printer to anyone who wants no stress.

For better or worse.
I bought this printer to replace my OJP 8720 the quality of the print is good, the fact it has ink tanks instead of cartridges is much better as this is what killed my 8720. But as an elderly non tech savy user I am going to find it confusing to do things like double sided printing and custom size printing, it was so easy on the old printer not having to go into apps and do all things like scanning, downloading to files, and finding it somewhere before I can print. I guess I can wait for my grandkids to come over but that's going to be very inconvenient.

Compact. Quiet. Works well.
I needed a new All-In-One printer and this seemed to fit the bill. The refillable tanks sound like they’ll be better than cartridges. I’m a bit disappointed that it doesn’t have a print from/scan to USB function like my old HP cartridge printer but I’ll have to work around that. It also doesn’t have a card reader like the old machine, so I’ll have to use a separate card reader. All-in-all though, it looks like it will do the job. My wife is happy that it is compact and the colour blends in with the filing cabinet it sits on.

Good features
I purchased a 7305 approx. 2 years ago and the features are good however the unit developed feeding document issues for scanning and then completely failed. As I am not able to do without a scanner, I needed to purchase another unit.

OK but very slow scanner
Reasonable set up guide, not too hard to follow although it took about 20 minutes for the printer to link to my internet. I had almost given up waiting.
Printing OK but scanning is very, very slow. Simply takes far too long compared to my well used, around 8 year old, HP 8620 that still took a while to scan
Liked the ink bottles

Incredibly dissapointed
After being a technology leader for 40 years this printer is the most unreliable I have purchased. Ok to install and on the odd occasion it works the printing is fast and of a fantastic quality. I had a relatively new inkjet (hP) but wanted the ink tank version simply for environmental and cost saving as I am retiring soon. The printer has print head errors every 2nd of third attempt to print. Currently i cant print nor scan.

Good all-rounder.
Replacement for earlier HP printer. Setup on Mac/Ventura was buggy and Sonoma does not seem to be supported yet (Nov 23). Online support is good -and needed! Finished setup with a Windows computer which was easy but I think that HP should put more effort into Mac support. Once working, I'm more than happy with the print and scanning performance and delighted that I won't have to buy cartridges.

Clean lines, ink-efficient, a bit harder to use
I love the clean look and the efficient ink printing options - it's a great printer and a good change up from my ink-intensive previous HP inkjet all in one. The two things I would mention are that unlike my previous printer it won't do duplex scanning, and it has a much smaller and less intuitive screen to adjust settings - it presumes you will do most things from the app.

Could be better
Took a bit of effort to connect to our wifi. Very limited functionality available if you are not signed up to the app and each user needs to be signed up separately. What happened to good old plug and play.
Also having issues with double sided printing. Even when ensuring print settings for docs have double sided set, some times it will others it won't.
Printer set-up, other than wifi, was very straightforward, and print quality appears good.

Printer arrival excellent (so swift), set up instructions not great and needed to contact Support. They did their job well. Only limited printer use to date, pretty happy and made easy with the HP Smart app.

Manufacturing fault
The black ink line had a crimp/pinch point and so no black ink could get to the printhead. This was due to a manufacturing fault. After considerable effort dealing with various support teams, an "Authority to Return" was provided and the printer returned. The printer was easy to set up and connect to the network. The on-line instructions were very helpful.

Unsuitable for scanning / copying
2-sided printing: great
2-sided scanning: impossible
2-sided copy: impossible
The Smart Tank 7300 series printer can only scan/copy one-sided pages. The workaround in the software is to first scan all the even pages through the ADF, then all the uneven pages. The result is a pdf which contains the pages in the order they were scanned, i.e 1,3,5,7,8,6,4,2. The user has to sort the pages manually into the right sequence before saving. Good luck with a 30-page 2-sided document.
It is puzzling that HP has not mastered a solution, despite producing three printing apps (HP Smart, HP Scan & Capture, HP Easy Start), all of which offer an option for "2-sided scan".
On the positive note, the printer does look good. That's worth a star.
Note that most of the positive reviews (in Dutch) on the HP page are sponsored. The genuine reviews tend to have less stars.

Disappointing
I bought this printer as I needed something that could scan double sided and multiple pages. I previously had an HP printer and was happy with that but This is a different story. An absolute pain to set up. Wireless pairing did not work, now that it is set up it just won't print! Have spent about 3 hours so far. Not happy.

Can’t scan to Mac
Just bought the 7605. It prints fine, which is its main purpose. But it cannot scan to a Mac! Just spent two hours on WhatApp support line and they couldn’t get it to work. Scanner’s not much good if the file can’t be accessed! So disappointed.
