Faster, high-quality output and power savings |

Most HP LaserJet and Color LaserJet products offer a fast way for you to complete print jobs. You can start sooner and finish faster with Instant-on Technology. Get up to 50 percent faster warm-up time from low-power mode when compared with competitive models, and print professional documents using up to 50 percent less energy than laser printers that use traditional fusing, as of June 2008. Warm-up time and energy use claims are based on third-party testing from QualityLogic, Inc, commissioned by HP. Get full reports of the QualityLogic studies.
When you copy using HP LaserJet and Color LaserJet products, Instant-on Technology requires up to four times less energy when idle and almost one-and-a-half times less energy when copying. Instant-on Copy is backed by LED-based technology.
For HP LaserJet products, Instant-on Technology has reduced CO2 emissions by over 6.4 million tonnes, according to recent HP estimates. The estimated tonnes of CO2 avoided is based on power plant emissions that otherwise would occur to generate the electricity saved.
You can also save up to 50 percent on paper and energy when using HP LaserJet and Color LaserJet products. Energy savings are based on HP testing using the ENERGY STAR® program’s Typical Energy Consumption (TEC) method. This testing compared HP LaserJet products that use Instant-on Technology with competitive laser models, as of March 2009. Paper savings are based on automatic two-sided printing, which is available on select HP LaserJet products.

These results are based on comparing the LED technology in Instant-on Copy with the fluorescent tubes of traditional copying technology.
