Rated 1 out of 5 by WeiC from Top Notch for HP Customer Service This printer to be unacceptably unreliable, currently 2nd time I had to send to the service centre and at the moment still waiting for parts, with no estimated timeframe, the printer is rarely used, it is still on the original toner that came with the unit, and it had already been in service centre twice for warranty, first time had banding issue on the printout, the whole unit was replaced, apparently its a common issue with this model I was told, What is worse is HP wont accept return of this defective product, nice customer service, 3year warranty means nothing, will be the last time purchasing a HP product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Wulfric90 from Overall, it’s done its job I got this printer as a token from my company and after using it about 6 months now, i can say it serves its purpose. However, it takes some time to print simple documents (slower than my previous printer).. the toner is quite pricey. On my personal note, it’s recommended for office/company use, but not so much for the personal basis.

All Seems well except after 10min of setting it up, I realised one crucially important feature is missing for me, it cannot directly scan to computer from the printer straight away by pressing a button, meaning you have to open an application on your computer in order to scan then save the scanned document.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous from Useless Expensive Color Printer still cant setup the printer from day one. i get hp support try to fix the printer but still failure. yes i'm require immediate attention because i saw during the support try to fix the problem, they do too much setting for installation. how there hp design a printer that so difficult to setup. MIRACLE

hi i am interested in this printer HP Color Laser MFP 179fnw Printer, but i have question Can this model print on 220 gsm weight card stock? ,if yes does have specific tray for this thick weight or can use the same tray as the plain paper? Thank you

Hey Amyrul, The supported g/m2 in the HP Color Laser MFP 179fnw Printer is 60 to 220 g/m². The same tray can be used for 220 g.m2.
