Here is how your can install a HP DesignJet printer:
1. Download the HP DesignJet 500 driver from the HP website.
2. Open the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions to install the driver.
3. Once the installation is complete, restart your computer.
4. Connect the HP DesignJet 500 printer to your computer using a USB cable.
5. Go to the Control Panel and select “Devices and Printers”.
6. Right-click on the HP DesignJet 500 printer and select “Printer Properties”.
7. Select the “Driver” tab and click “Update Driver”.
8. Select “Browse my computer for driver software” and then select the driver you downloaded.
9. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
10. Once the installation is complete, you can start using your HP DesignJet 500 printer.
Keep your HP DesignJet printer clean by following the below tips:
1. Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord.
2. Remove the printhead and clean it with a lint-free cloth dampened with water.
3. Clean the inside of the printer with a vacuum cleaner.
4. Clean the outside of the printer with a damp cloth.
5. Clean the paper feed rollers with a damp cloth.
6. Clean the printhead carriage with a damp cloth.
7. Clean the ink cartridges with a damp cloth.
8. Clean the printhead contacts with a lint-free cloth dampened with isopropyl alcohol.
9. Clean the paper path with a damp cloth.
10. Clean the printhead nozzles with a damp cloth.
11. Clean the encoder strip with a damp cloth.
12. Clean the platen with a damp cloth.
13. Clean the paper tray
If you want to remove papers from HP DesignJet please follow the below instructions:
1. Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord.
2. Open the printer cover and remove any paper that is visible.
3. Carefully remove the paper tray from the printer.
4. Inspect the paper tray for any remaining paper.
5. Use a pair of tweezers to remove any remaining paper from the tray.
6. Re-insert the paper tray into the printer and close the cover.
7. Plug in the power cord and turn on the printer.
