No network, no problem
If you don't have access to a wireless network or you don't have a wireless router, you may still be able to print from your mobile device. HP wireless direct is a feature available on many HP printers that lets you establish a secure connection directly from your mobile device to your printer.
How it works
Printing with HP wireless direct is simple and secure, all you have to do is establish a connection with the printer and you're ready to print.
Step 1
Check for wireless direct supportCheck your printer's wireless settings menu. If you do not see wireless direct in this menu, the printer does not support it.
Step 2
Turn on wireless directFrom your printer's control panel, select the wireless button to ensure wireless direct is turned on.
Step 3
Discover the printerFrom your mobile device, turn on WiFi and search for wireless networks. Select the printer, which will show up as 'HP-Print-model-name' as shown on your printer's control panel.
Now that you have a wireless direct connection, you're ready to print.
