This test checks if the white vertical lines are caused by the blackprint cartridge Picture of the printer cartridge. Clicking this icon will open a new window. .

If you have another new or undamaged used black print cartridge available, do the following:

  1. Install the new black print cartridge.
  2. Print another set of PQ troubleshooting pages to check. Show me how.
  3. Look at the new set of test pages.
    If the white vertical lines disappears, the black print cartridge that you removed is damaged. Replace the black print cartridge with a new black print cartridge.
    If the white vertical lines do not disappear, contact HP.
