Description
Raised, bubbled areas on coated media. One or more blisters may be present.
Most likely causes
- Blistering can occur on coated media in high humidity environments, especially when printing in duplex mode.
- The paper and coating pull apart when the paper is heated during fusing. This is caused by the moisture in the paper.
Troubleshooting and suggestions
- Try a fresh, unopened ream of media which has not acclimated to the environment. If the blistering still occurs, go to the next step.
- Try a different media. If the blistering still occurs, go to the next step.
- In the Print Quality -- Optimize menu, set Environment to Low Temp. Show me how.
- Try the different media again. If the blistering still occurs, try an uncoated media.
- Look at the uncoated media you just printed. If the issue is not resolved, Contact HP.
