Description

Pages print with sharp, narrow, light or dark bands repeating every 1.6 inches (40mm) in whole page.

Most likely causes

Troubleshooting and suggestions

In the Print Quality--Optimize menu, set Cleaning Frequency to Alternate. This increases the frequency with which the charge roller is cleaned. Show me how.
Print another set of PQ troubleshooting pages. Show me how.
Look at the new set of test pages. If the issue is not resolved, replace the yellow image drum . Show me how.
After replacing the yellow image drum, print another set of PQ troubleshooting pages. Show me how.
Look at the new set of test pages. If the issue is not resolved, contact HP.

Recommended parts

Order a yellow image drum.
Note: It is not necessary to replace the other image drums.
