In 2006, HP awarded HP mobile and wireless technology packages valued at approximately $17,000 each to 104 nonprofit organizations in the United States and Puerto Rico, through the HP Technology for Community Grant Initiative.
More than 2,000 organizations applied for this grant in 2006. All of the applicants are providing much-needed services to their communities in the areas of health and human services, workforce development, the environment, arts and technology, and community and economic development.
