October 31 — The preservation and rehabilitation efforts officially wrap up.

September 27 — Paint is applied, cabinets and fixtures go up, baseboard and picture rail trim is installed, and a new patio gets poured.

September 20 — With only a month to go, painters, carpenters, sheet rock installers, tapers and window hangers pick up momentum inside and out.

September 13 — Work is done on the back porch and wheelchair lift; the chimney nears completion; and insulation and sheetrock go up in the house's interior rooms.

September 6 — Work focuses on the house. Porch footings are poured, the first layer of trim paint goes on, clinker bricks climb up the chimney and the team leaves its mark.

August 30 — The house gets new rain gutters, roof shingles and more doors. Forms are prepared for back porch steps and decorative touches begin to reappear.

August 23 — Porch steps are prepped; staircases, windows and doors go in; the shed is nearly complete; and the HP garage gets a new roof.

August 23 — The reinforced chimney has its footing and firebox in place, and its steel support structure rises above the roofline.

August 16 — Another week of change rolls along as the shed gets cedar shingles and the house's second floor gets windows and custom rafter tail supports.

August 12 — Progress in the house continues, along with preparations that will lead to a new, more accessible mounting for the landmark plaque.

August 9 — Work on the house includes the fireplace and front dormer. Meanwhile a trench reveals a mystery.

August 2 — It's a week of detailed work on the garage and shed as they near completion.

July 28 — The shed and garage get paper roofs, the fireplace gets a foundation, plumbing and heating systems go in, and more.

July 21 — A week of steady progress adds plywood sheathing, replacement rain gutters, and more.

July 14 — The house gets a new porch cover, electrical and plumbing, and the garage gets some weather proofing.

July 7 — Reconstruction of the front porch begins. The porch area will return to its original open structure as it was in 1938.

June 30 — The house window casings are reinstalled, framing completed on the back porch area, and the garage has its outer boards reattached.

June 21 — From the ground up, every building receives the respectful treatment it deserves, including an all important treatment for termites.

June 14 — The garage's new concrete curb has been poured, and the teardown of an old barn nearby provides a batch of wood perfect for garage repairs.

June 2 — While the moving crew lowers the house, the original rafters are recycled and repaired.
