This test checks if the missing color are caused by the yellowprint cartridge Picture of the printer cartridge. Clicking this icon will open a new window. .

If you have another new or undamaged used yellow print cartridge available, use it as a replacement.

  1. Install the replacement yellow print cartridge.
  2. Print another set of PQ troubleshooting pages to check. Show me how.
  3. Look at the new set of test pages.
    If the background color of the yellow test page is yellow, the yellow print cartridge that you removed is damaged. Replace the yellow print cartridge with a new cyan cartridge.
    If the background color of the yellow test page is not yellow, contact HP.
