Partnerships and programs for the future
Digital Equity Accelerator
Through the Digital Equity Accelerator, an HP Inc. and HP Foundation program, HP partners with nonprofits around the world to advance digital equity at scale and amplify their impact.
Where we’re at:
- Since 2022, the Digital Equity Accelerator has elevated 17 nonprofits across India, Morocco, the U.S., South Africa, Mexico, and Malaysia.
- Cumulatively, the program has expanded the reach of participating organizations by 8.1 million people.
- Applications now open for nonprofits in Brazil, Canada*, and Poland for the 2024 Digital Equity Accelerator.
Digital Equity for Ukraine
Recognizing the serious digital equity impact on people forced away from their homes, during 2022 and 2023 we donated more than 76,000 laptops, worth over $30 million, in collaboration with the Global Business Coalition for Education.
Where we’re at:
- The HP Foundation made grants totaling $3.3 million to local NGOs supporting refugees and relief efforts as well as the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and UNICEF.
- The HP Foundation and HP employees provided more than $500,000 to support the UNHCR, UNICEF, and 20 other NGOs providing Ukrainian relief.
NABU
NABU is solving the global literacy crisis so that every child can read and rise to their full potential. NABU creates culturally responsive, mother-tongue stories more efficiently and at a scale never achieved before.

- 60 local artists and illustrators trained
- Two HP NABU Creative Labs launched in Kigali and Miami
Girl Rising
Girl Rising uses the power of storytelling to change the way the world values girls and their education.
Where we’re at:
- Since 2019, our partnership with Girl Rising has equipped over 14.4 million students and teachers in India, Nigeria, and the United States with a new, inclusive curriculum and innovative technology solutions.
- Girl Rising’s partnership with Slam Out Loud focuses on using the arts to build skills such as communication, critical thinking, and empathy among children from disadvantaged communities.
1 Million Teachers
1M Teachers is building a critical mass of highly trained and enterprising education changemakers who will lead grassroots improvement within their communities.
Where we’re at:
- In partnership with 1M Teachers, we’ve reached 1.3 million accelerations
- HP is collaborating with 1MT to deliver the Blackbelt and Mentor A Teacher (MAT) programs in Nigeria and Kenya.
- Programs aim to provide professional development to educators upgrading their skill set to deliver quality education to the students they serve.
HP LIFE
HP LIFE enables people to improve their skills by providing access to free, accessible IT and business skills training courses in eight languages. It is also an adaptable educational resource used on the ground by trainers, educators, and mentors.

YMCA Worldwide’s goal is to be the global youth empowerment organization: empowering, inspiring and mobilizing young people to find and share their voice on the issues that matter to them and to the world.
HP Innovation and Digital Education Academy (IDEA)
HP IDEA is a network of innovative teachers who are using technology to deliver powerful learning outcomes. In 2022, HP IDEA positively impacted approximately 390,000 students in 378 schools worldwide.
HP Accessible learning for All (ALFA)
The HP Accessible Learning for All (ALFA) project, also in India, aims to reduce the digital divide by empowering students at state-run or state-supported schools through digital classrooms that improve access to digital learning.
MIT SOLVE
HP sponsors the Black & Brown Innovators in the US Program, which aims to provide focused support to US focused Black and Brown entrepreneurs working within their communities to advance racial equity solutions across Solve’s 2022 Global Challenges.
