Cameron Cashman
Selecting the right laptop has always been a tricky balancing act. As consumers want more and more out of their portable devices, computer manufacturers have often had to make sacrifices in one area or another to satisfy specific needs. Thankfully, this issue is becoming a thing of the past. Laptops are becoming sleeker and more powerful every day, and HP has been at the forefront of that innovation every step of the way.
We’ve entered a brave new world of remote work and play, and the best laptops are ready to tackle a variety of needs no matter what you’re doing or where you’re doing it. The HP Spectre line is equipped with specs suitable for power users and professionals alike, and these 2-in-1 laptops take flexibility to the next level with four different form factors to support a range of different processes and workflows.

Introducing the HP Spectre x360 2-in-1 laptop 16

A laptop’s portability is important, but should it come at the expense of screen real estate? As the largest Spectre laptop in its class, the HP Spectre x360 2-in-1 laptop 16-f1747nr renders this question obsolete - and that little bit of extra space means a whole lot of extra power.
This Windows 11-based, feature-packed multipurpose laptop is ready to tackle any job you can throw at it, whether you’re a creative, professional, gamer, or all three!

Power to the people

Gone are the days of classifying laptops by their uses. Why choose between a gaming or work laptop when you can have both?
Laptops need to be as flexible as the people that use them, and the HP Spectre x360 is the perfect partner for a productive person.

Fantastically fully-featured 2-in-1 laptop

Without further ado, let’s dive into the Spectre x360’s most important features to see what makes it so special.

Operating System

All HP Spectre x360 laptops come installed with Windows 11. Microsoft has taken great care in providing a new and naturalistic experience with this new version of their operating system, from its familiar but updated interface to new and exciting social features.

For over 50 years, consumers and professionals alike have turned to Intel® for their powerful multi-core performance. That’s why HP has equipped their Spectre x360 laptops with top-of-the-line Intel Core™ i7 processors, perfect for multitasking and ready to handle any job you can give it.
You have options, too - choose from the 14-core, 20-thread Intel Core i7 12700H or the 12-core, 16-thread Intel Core i7 1260P, both with a boost clock of 4.7 GHz so you’ll be able to run CPU-intensive programs like video and photo editing software without experiencing any slowdowns.

As computer software and video games get more and more powerful, a larger amount of RAM is needed to ensure the computer can perform quickly and efficiently.
There’s no need to worry, though, because HP has you covered there too - Spectre x360 laptops come with at least 16GB of ram, perfect for gaming, general photo or video editing, and other creative work.
If you’re looking to maximize your computer’s efficiency for more intense projects, you can customize your Spectre x360 with up to 32GB of RAM.

Not too long ago, we relied on big, clunky hard disk drives to store and retrieve our files. This meant storage space came at the expense of size and weight. The advent of Solid State Drives (SSDs) made it possible to equip smaller machines with more storage than ever before - and much higher read and write speeds compared to a hard drive.
We’ve come a long way in just a few short years, and now PCIe® M.2 solid state drives are smaller and faster than ever, without sacrificing any storage space. You can equip your HP Spectre x360 with between 512GB and 2TB of storage space.

If for some reason 2TB of storage space simply isn’t enough, don’t worry - you can easily expand it with an external storage device via one of the Spectre x360’s many ports.
HP has crammed as many ports as possible into the slim, sleek design, including:
  • Thunderbolt 4/USB4 Type-C (2x)
  • SuperSpeed USB A (1x)
  • HDMI 2.1 (1x)
  • A 3.5 mm Headphone/Microphone jack (1x)
  • MicroSD reader (1x)
You can even quickly and easily expand the number of ports available to you with a USB extender or docking station from HP!

Massively portable laptop

With the Spectre x360 laptop, HP has managed to ride the line between size and portability. At 14 inches wide, 9 inches long, and just under one inch thick, the machine weighs about 4.5 lbs - certainly not the lightest option available, but perfect for those looking for maximum power in the smallest possible package.
Part of what makes this machine so portable is its convertible form factor that allows for four different configurations. First is the traditional, book-style laptop set-up that uses the keyboard as a base.
You can fold the keyboard a full 360 degrees around to use the machine in tablet mode, which will certainly dwarf most other tablets out there - and you can take notes, draw, and more using a pen or stylus.
Stand mode is perfect for watching movies or presentations with a group of people - it allows you to fold the keyboard back underneath the display so it doesn’t distract or get in the way.
Finally, tent mode is another great way to share ideas and collaborate visually with a group of people, letting you prop the display up with the keyboard behind it.

Easy on the eyes

A lot of thought has gone into the effect that screens have on our eyes. Eyestrain is a real concern if you spend a lot of time working in front of a computer - but you also want to make sure you’re getting the best image quality possible, especially if you’re an artist!
HP has taken this into account and developed laptop displays that are safe for long-term use, emitting less blue light to conform to Eyesafe standards laid out by TÜV Rheinland group.
That doesn’t mean that the Spectre x360 display lacks in quality, though, its 16-inch, 3070 x 1920 Gorilla Glass IPS panel features Delta E<2 technology for superior RGB color accuracy. If that’s not sharp enough for you, go ultra high definition (UHD) and upgrade to an anti-reflective, 3840 x 2400 OLED screen so the visuals really pop.

Long-lasting lifespan

Portability can only get you so far unless you have a strong, powerful battery to power your device. The Spectre x360’s 6-cell lithium-ion battery is powered by the included 90W power adapter and lasts for up to 15 hours of general activity on a full charge or up to 19 hours of video content.
That’s quite a long time, but you won’t ever have to worry about going without power for too long thanks to the Spectre’s lightning-fast charging: up to 50% after just 15 minutes of being plugged in.

Other Spectre x360 features

Just like all of HP’s legendary laptops, the Spectre x360 2-in-1 has a host of other familiar features designed to enhance and enrich your experience as much as possible.

Mind-blowing audio from Bang and Olufsen

A great display is practically nothing without great audio to go along with it, and on that front HP has you covered. They’ve partnered with Bang and Olufsen to bring their premiere audio products to their devices, and the Spectre x360 is no slouch in the audio department thanks to its set of four speakers. Experience immersive soundscapes in movies and video games - even music can impress thanks to HP Audio Boost.

Be seen and heard

With the widespread adoption of teleconferencing, HP has stepped up to the plate and equipped the Spectre x360 with a dual array digital microphone and full HD 5MP digital camera or “GlamCam” with automatic quality enhancements, so you can look and sound better than ever before on your next video conference call. It will be like you’re really there!

Interface options

With its backlit keyboard and touchpad, you can navigate your device with ease - or convert it to tablet mode and use it as a touch screen! Also included is an HP MPP2.0 Tilt Pen for precision note-taking and drawing.

Packed with features all inside a lightweight and eco-friendly chassis, it’s easy to see why the HP Spectre x360 is one of the top convertible 2-in-1 laptops on the market. From its Intel Core processor and brand-new Intel graphics technology to the crystal-clear screen, this machine is sure to serve users of all kinds for years.
