Rated 2 out of 5 by Fleet-wing from Steer Clear! I've had this Omen Transcend for about over 4 months now. From the start the battery would last less that 1 hour if gaming. You could never leave on your lap because it gets too hot to touch. At times it will get hot enough even when plugged in that it shuts it's self off. The fan works fine on it, just overheats. Hp's website is almost impossible to use. At it switched to a Japanese after spending a ridiculous amount of time navigating it. Once I got a tech on chat he spent a couple of hours with me doing things that did not help. I will never buy another HP product. I will say that when running and plugged in, it performers well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous from Stylish and Lightweight, but Screen and Fan Could Be Better I’ve been using this laptop for a while, and overall, it’s a great device. It’s stylish, lightweight, and offers solid performance, making it a good choice for productivity and general use. However, there are a couple of drawbacks. The screen is quite reflective, which can be distracting, especially in bright environments. A matte screen or an anti-glare coating would have been a great addition. Another issue is the fan noise—while the laptop generally runs smoothly, the fan can get quite loud at times, especially during software installations or heavier tasks. This can be annoying, particularly in quiet settings like a classroom. Despite these minor issues, the laptop excels in design, portability, and performance. If the screen reflection and fan noise aren’t dealbreakers for you, it’s still a solid choice.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Caleb23 from Design great, performance? Not so much I got the white one after seeing reviews about finger prints, all in all the design is great and smooth. However performance is TERRIBLE. For the price of this new I do not recommend it for the performance. Expect lag on a game even like halo reach. I am amazed at how poor the performance is, maybe I just got a lemon but definitely not what I expected.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Anonymous from Good features but too many pop ups The laptop is fast and has good capacity for streaming. However, every time I start it up, I am inundated with pop ups from HP Omen. These are not pop ups on a particular site. These are built into the laptop itself. Omen Gaming Hub and other pop ups really ruin the experience. Consequently, I cannot recommend buying this model.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Toolman Joe from Fast and light I don't use this for gaming but I was looking for a laptop with a fast CPU, large SSD, lots of RAM and a dedicated video card for engineering CAD and video editing. This fit the bill nicely. It's very fast and has a beautiful, bright OLED display. I was concerned about the multicolor backlit keyboard looking unprofessional but it turns out you can change the colors of the keys to all one color. I have mine set for all white. With this configuration, there isn't a hint that this is a gaming machine. The build quality is excellent. Frame is aluminum. It looks like and has the power of a high end business machine at a much lower price point. They keyboard is fantastic too. It has good key travel and excellent tactile feedback. Shipping was super fast. From ordering to my door in 2 business days. My only complaint is that HP shipped this in the original colorful box with no signature required. If you live in an area where porch pirates are a problem, I'd be worried because it calls "Steal Me!"

Rated 5 out of 5 by A___ from Excellent! This laptop is excellent. I spent about a month and a half looking at laptops and I'm happy that I decided on this one. It has a fast keyboard which can light up any color you'd like. It has a high quality screen with good resolution. At first I was worried that I wouldn't like the glossiness of the screen, but now that I have it, I do. I was able to get this one which has a whole 2 TB of storage and also 32gb of RAM, which is great, I have plenty of space for all of my video files and it performs well. I haven't tested the capabilities of the graphics card yet. The one challenging thing about using this laptop is that sometimes I accidentally brush against the touchpad when I'm typing and it clicks into the middle of a paragraph I already wrote and starts typing in there. That's annoying when that happens, but it's not specific to this laptop, and everything else about it is great. It has a good amount of ports too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kamuii from Great for daily life, as well as games Works great. I primarily use it as a productivity laptop (university student), but I definitely appreciate the OLED display, and the performance is good on the various engineering applications I use. The light weight and slim exterior is really incredible for such a solid Windows laptop.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Curlee862 from Excellent Laptop for those who value power & convenience. This laptop is sleek, stylish, portable and POWERFUL. The OLED screen is beautiful, the graphics are amazing and it runs heavy hitting games like RDR2 and GTA 5 on moderate settings very well. This laptop is perfect for someone who is willing to sacrifice a bit of performance for portability and convenience. I use this laptop for school and work and it has absolutely exceeded my expectations. The only thing I will mention is the fact that it doesn't have a fingerprint, would've been nice. But over all excellent laptop and I am more than satisfied with my purchase!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Worth Every Penny I bought this laptop to replace an older one from another company. My main criteria was something that could handle photo and video editing quickly. My research led me to consider a gaming machine because of their ability to handle complex graphics quickly. I was not disappointed. This machine is amazing. The speed of processing is faster that I had hoped and the renditions of photos and videos is super sharp and clear. Worth every penny!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Jared.C. from Good device for a travel gamer. Pros: The size of the device is pretty amazing for what its capable of. I can play elden ring for a couple of hours on battery. The screen is beautiful. Great color fidelity, and no real ghosting that I saw. (I keep wanting to use it as a touch screen, like it has depth to it) The individual lit keys option is a must if you like rgb. Its so quiet! Even while gaming, all other laptop makers need to experience this and copy it. Cons: CPU/GPU throttling is crazy and seems unpredictable. I've had a game freeze up for 20 seconds and then come back. Makes gaming difficult. Battery life for day to day activities is very poor. I feel like 4 hours max just watching videos or surfing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by DEthan from great design, with a few flaws I've been very happy with this computer. The good things: lightweight, sleek design, does not look like a gaming computer but it is a powerhouse! I was looking for an ultraportable work and gaming computer and it's perfect for this. The pudding keyboard actually feels very good. OLED screen is amazing. The computer comes with HP OMEN gaming hub which makes it really easy to switch between ECO mode and Performance mode for gaming. I've so far played Baldur's Gate in high settings and Payday 3 in ultra settings. Experience for gaming has been excellent. Negatives: battery life is poor. On ECO mode running minimal programs, surfing the web and keeping the screen dim is up to 3 hours. There are only a few non-HP adaptive chargers that work with this computer (Ugreen 140w works) This is a unfortunate because taking the brick and additional chargers defeats the purpose of being ultraportable. High wattage portable batteries did not charge the computer without HP errors, so can't really extend the battery life substantially. Other issues: when opening the computer, the OLED screen will sometimes slightly separate from the computer frame, so I have to be mindful of where i open. Also, speakers at max volume are weak. I'd recommend this at the price point, and as an ultraportable gaming computer it's great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Funkdat from Nice with some issues I like a lot about this laptop. It is very quiet and runs pretty cool while being pretty thin and light. But it has some cons as well. Frist, it doesn't work with any chargers under 100 watts unless asleep or off. I tried 8 different ones that work fine on any other laptop. Second, the battery life is pretty poor. I can just get four hours of light use out of this thing in ECO mode.

Is the webcam actually 1080? The image quality is very poor. Seems like 720 or worse. I got the new model (fb0023dx), which says the camera spec is 1080 FHD. But it does not look like it. Is there a way to see if my model mistakenly got an old camera?
