Powerful, but a little hot.
It does everything I need it to. Although, it does get a bit hot right below the screen at the air vents when I'm doing something a bit more intensive. So far, no bleed over into the keyboard area.

Blazing Fast Omen
In a time when it's becoming difficult to purchase anything with substantial electronics HP did not dissappoint with my OMEN 15 laptop. It was outfitted with the Ryzen H9 5900 processor and RTX 3070 graphics. Boot up time after entering the Bootlocker PIN is under 7 seconds. All tasks are completed with lightning fast speed. Additionally, expandability allowed me to bump this laptop up to 32GB of DDR 3200 RAM and 4TB of storage space utilizing twin NVME M.2 slots. The quad HD 165Mhz screen is beautiful and overall build quality is very good. For the most part the laptop remains very quiet unless under very heavy processing or graphics demands. I look forward to some great gaming and fast video processing and editing with this new laptop.

Quality Materials
I have had my Omen for two months now and I am incredibly satisfied with the performance it gives me. I splurged a bit when I bought it because I wanted something a little more quality from what I am used to. Out of all laptops I have used HP consistently works and I never have any issues from them the product feels quality and premium compared to other laptops I have used it is the best price to performance. No issues with slowness and it has a pretty good upgrade path. I have already added a 1TB samsung ssd to fill the 2nd SSD slot. Great laptop great price great performance. Everything from the keyboard to the mousepad to the screen is premium. Only complaint is no thunderbolt 3 but the model I purchased is an AMD processor which isn't compatible anyways.

Excellent value for money
I bought this HP ryzen 5 5600h Nvidia rtx 3060 16 gb ram 512 gb SSD machine for the bargain price of 1129 $ from the hp site. I use it as my main machine and it's wonderful. Very responsive and very good graphics capabilities. The sound is loud and clear, display being a matte display has reduced glare and reflections. The machine is very generous with ports, has a web cam and an sd card reader as well. This configuration is hard to beat and IMO has the best price to performance ratio.ratio

Great computer
This is my second HP, never had any problems with the previous one, I actually gave it to my son 2 years ago and he still uses it with no problems, I've heard HP has good quality from people who knows about computers and so far I agree with them. I love that I could build it to my needs, and for the features I was looking for specially a high end graphic card, HP had the best price in the market. I've only used it for few weeks and so far I'm loving it.

Poor charging controller
While I like the computer it has charging issues. When plugged in it will charge to around 51% then quit charging. It is not possible to determine if this is a charger issue or a computer issue. Unfortunately school is getting ready to start and I cannot be without a computer long enough to send it in for repair even though I bought the 3yr warranty with accidental damage.

Powerful machine with inadequate power supply
The 200w power supply is not enough. When gaming and other heavy tasks, the battery will drain even when plugged in. The adapter also gets pretty hot. Hp should upgrade it to 230w adapter at least.

I bought this about a month ago, and its pretty good. runs any game on high settings at least 60+ fps, only problem so far is that tis loud, but you can t least turn the loudness down by lowering the fans

Awesome power for the price
The 15z is the AMD powered alternative to the Intel Omen 15, and it's great. It has the power under the hood to run anything I can throw at it at ultra settings, and does not run super hot in the process. Two M.2 slots, a comfortable keyboard, bright screen, and solid build: what is there not to like?
Only downsides: no Thunderbolt, as with most other AMD laptops. I also do not believe there is a MUX switch on this model.

Very fast computer, but video card has issues.All of the specs on this computer for the price are great! The only issue is something in the computer has caused it to work improperly for gaming. Whenever I play games if I do not disable the NVidia graphics card it freezes. Still trying to figure out what is wrong with it, but it is workable. If the issue gets fixed by HP or NVIDIA I will change this review.

Overall pleased with the machine.
I mostly do crypto trading and I gots dividends paid back,also my dinosaur was showing it's age,and was in dire need of an upgrade,in an age where high performance laptops have an ugly form factor (ie:center hinges,extra length behind screen,all screen,etc) the omen kept it simple,just the way a laptop should be.
The performance was also pretty good for what you get,sometime i do play on my laptop and the omen has proven to be capable of handing games to the level of my desktop (not many laptops managed to do that in my experience),while being pretty portable for my business.
Overall I am pleased,i wish hp keeps this streak up.

Really solid computer!
After much research I decided to purchase this computer for all around work, home, and play. It's good for all those. Two things I would change are: the noise level of the fans, and the fact that the OS encounters occasional errors, don't understand why, system stability issues?

Best notebook ever!
This notebook met all my needs and surpassed my expectations. The Ryzen 7 processor, while not my first choice, has once again got me believing in AMD. Simple processes in windows that have seemed to take longer and longer with each new windows version, such as opening File Manager or Internet Explorer or Edge, are now popping up like Windows 95 used to. This is also due to the M2.0 SSD hard drive. My machine also boots fast. It takes only 6 to 9 seconds to get my login and an additional 3 to 6 seconds to get my desktop up. The WIFI 6 connects easily to my AC WIFI Router at 866Mbps. Seams like my fingers are the slowest part of the system.

Purchased 1st August, Review 1st September,
It's been one full month of constant use and I love this laptop. Installed manjaro linux as my main desktop and removed windows.
I love how the palm rest does not heat up uncomfortably like the dell one did.Keyboard does not feel cheap but the feel of the depress does take some time to get used to it.
Plenty of power to run multiple virtual boxes.
Will see how it holds up in daily use. I expect 3 years out of my laptops before something breaks. IE speakers, battery replacement, or a fan making noise, but I consider this maintenance like you perform on a vehicle.
Thank you for making the Omen 15 repairable by not gluing everything together.
I've been buying Dell xps's from 2011 up now. What sold me on the omen is most high-end laptops looks like something off a bad scifi movie and the price was right. Thankyou HP for making something with power that I can take into a job site and not be an eyesore.

Great framerates. Good design.
Keeps Grid:Autosport over 95fps maxed on 4k. Keeps GS:GO over 200fps maxed. It’s a little bulky coming from an XPS 13, but that’s to be expected for the power and ability to change parts. Fan noise can be fairly noticeable on Excel and other things you wouldn’t think of as being excessively CPU intensive.

The AMD Ryzen 5 5600H is a 45W processor and the Nvidia RTX 3060 in this model is theoretically 100W but expect 80-90W

If you game with this dGPU it will boost down since power is going to Dgpu and cpu at same time it will not get to 100W during gaming more like boost lower since its low power variant. do not believe hp spec lies.

WARNING : the ryzen variant of the omen 15 DOES NOT have mux switch since optimus is intel technology. this does not have mux switch i already returned it because of this. and its fans are INSANELY loud compared to Legion 7i and the track pad had HUGE grand canyon gap in the preimeter.

Interesting because I installed M.2 NVMe ssd WD Black SN850 1TB which is a gen 4 drive but unfortunately it will only run at gen 3 speeds, and the included ssd also only runs at gen 3 speeds,
