Rated 3 out of 5 by MadPapa from Spectre x360 features stink I am sorry I bought this laptop and not the Dell XPS or other Dell product. I did not buy the XPS because it had a dearth of ports. I went with the HP x360 but regardless of what the salesperson told me, there is also a dearth of ports on the HP. And the only port that was available did not work with the mouse dongle. The touchscreen on the laptop is sketchy at best, working sometime and not sometime. I wish I had never spent the money I did for this laptop. There are some good features of the x360 but they are not good enough for me to want to keep this long-term. I spent way too much money on this laptop for it to be worth it to me.

Rated 1 out of 5 by AlexADF from DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY Customized my laptop. Ordered it on 9/6/22 and received defective laptop on 9/28. I am now being told that I cannot exchange it because it was customized. They will not reorder it for me at the purchase price but are saying it will now cost me an additional $78 to exchange the defective laptop even though they have a 30 day exchange policy. ISSUES: Screen randomly goes black Randomly turns off Screen randomly because pixelated (purple, pink, green..etc) Volume of the laptop fluctuates randomly. Already tried: Troubleshooting w/their techs Asking for a refund Options given: -Put another customized order in today (without refund) with a $78 total increase -Request a refund send it back Resolution I requested: -Exchange it for a new one. Please DONT waste your time. The techs aren't helpful and I have been waiting to speak with a manager now after a 50 min call. I've been on hold for 20 mins to speak with a manager.

My 4th HP computer in the past 12 years and probably my last. Took 2 months to arrive and the battery does not hold a charge, even when not in use. Several times I have charged it to 100% powered it off, only to turn it on a few hours later and see the battery at 80%. After 20 minutes of use, it's down around 60%. It's headed back to HP. SInce it took them 2 months to turn this around, I wouldn't dream of getting an exchange. This is an obvious problem that should have been easily identified in the 'test and pack' phase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Very beautiful, large screen that allows the use of a digital pen, comes with padded leather sleeve Has a large touch screen that also allows the use of a digital pen. The HP pen works well with it as well as the Surface Pro pen (older version) that I have. Very beautiful layout. Good sound, mic, and camera for meetings. It is on the heavier side as expected with a 16" laptop. The flip part is great as I can situate the laptop any which way necessary for my set up (I use multiple monitors and computers). I use this as a work computer managed by my company and it works great. My only issue is that the pen can only be magnetically hung up on the right side of the screen. I am left handed for the most part so I keep putting the pen on the left side that has no magnets. For traveling, the laptop did come with a padded leather sleeve that has a place for the pen.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Mike29926 from Nice hardware. Terrible Windows 11 Operating System!!!!!! The worst thing about the Spectre laptop is the use of Microsoft Windows 11 and Bitlocker. Bitlocker cannot even be disabled following Microsoft's own instructions. Many of the Windows options cannot be changed to per their instructions either. Another annoyance is Windows 11 tight integrated to Microsoft's login account as oppose to a local laptop account. Anyways when I opted to install three Windows recommended updates, one changed the boot sector and then Bitlocker wouldn't allow the laptop to reboot! It just rendered the laptop completely useless. I had to send the laptop back to HP do a factory reinstall of Windows, etc! I own a Apple laptop that has none of these issues. I will never again buy another Windows laptop!

Rated 5 out of 5 by denorm from Spectre 3D powerhouse laptop as a 3D animator artist , i specked this with the max offerings by HP (32gb ram . 2TB drive . 4K OLED screen . NVIDIA GeForce RTX3050 . Intel Core i7-11390H ) i only wish they offered even higher NVIDIA options. but the PC is great and packaged like store bought even though it was custom. nice job. great screen. looks ultra capable. still loading software so not through with tests. but so far so good. this laptop has even higher specs than many gaming PC towers on sale. happy with my Spectre 360 13in 4K , so glad to get the monster version of the Spectre line for my power laptop. well priced. if i need more juice it will be a tower.

The battery swelled up and caused the spacebar and touchpad to stop working. The battery swelling eventually popped the sides of the machine before I realized what the problem was. The screen develops a ghost image and goes to black if you leave the machine on for more than two hours. When this happens you have to let it sit for a few hours before your screen will return.

Don't like how microsoft wants to manage everything I do. The Home and Student Microsoft 2021 I purchased with the computer is not compatible with my programs I have to use to do a societies journal and therefore had to install my 2007 program. What to do with the 2021 program. It is fast, I'll say.

My new Spectre, besides having a larger display screen which is awesome, has all the features would possibly need. One point to note if buying online directly from HP. They will not match their own sale price if you have already processed an online order before the sale. Just saying, best time to buy online is during a Holiday sale. Do some research checking on their prices. If I had, I could have saved an additional $300.

The power supply failed mechanically in the first 90 days and was not replaced under warranty. I had to purchase the replacement from HP and it seems cheap and inconvenient in design. Not at all impressed with this purchase.

If you want a computer whose screen flashes black periodically, and acts like it is taking random screen shots, this is the computer for you. What I have is a 2,000 dollar paperweight because the screen is GARBAGE. The video drivers are current. All updates are run. It took a few weeks for the problem to manifest and now I cannot return this crap computer. I should have bought a Surface.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Spectre Customer from Issues With The Screen The laptop looks amazing BUT, I feel the build quality is not all there, particularly with the OLED panel. This is my second Specter x360 16 inch with the OLED screen. Both have the same issue where the left side of the screen is faded and the pixels struggle to display the same image quality as the right side. This is most notable when watching dimly lit video scenes or if you have a dark mode on for your apps. I'm curious if everyone else has the same issue. Also, my second Specter x360 16 inches came with a loose touchpad that rattled with the simplest touch. I had to open it and fix it. In my opinion, a $2,000 plus product should not have to be repaired. The screen is supposed to be the highlight of the device but sadly it is a big disappointment. The rating is either excellent, good, average, fair, or poor. As much as I like this laptop. The screen is a major issue that degrades the experience so I have to go with poor because a faulty screen is fair. I've added photos with the screen at about half brightness and at the highest from left to right.

If you plan on watching YouTube videos or Netflix, this is not the laptop for you. The sound is not clear, muffled, and has to be at 100% to barely hear the video. I really hope they fix the issue, but in the meantime I will be returning.

Rated 5 out of 5 by A1B2C3 from Best 2-1in-1 laptop Great laptop. Build quality is excellent, the screen (400 nits) and webcam are outstanding, trackpad and keyboard both feel great. Battery life is outstanding. I get over 12 hours running YouTube continuously at 38% brightness, wifi and battery saver both on. Fans are very quiet (much better than the 15.6 inch Spectre) and the laptop does not feel hot at all. Geekbench 5.4 single-core score is in the low 1600s and multi-core score is between 5300s and 5400s. Finally, like all laptops since the beginning of time, the keyboard does not scratch the screen. No numberpad, two thunderbolt 4 ports are on the same side, and slight wobble when touching the screen (but not when typing) are the only major cons.

I'd recommend going with an older spectre model. That being said, before the screen was covered in scratches it looked good.

In the specs it states "1 SuperSpeed USB Type-A 10Gbps signaling rate (HP Sleep and Charge)". Does this mean that the USB Type A port may also be used to charge the laptop's battery as well, as the two USB-C ports?

Sleep and Charge means that while the Spectre is in Sleep mode, the device connected via USB still charges.

On another product page https://www.hp.com/us-en/laptops/2-in-1s/spectre-x360-16-laptop.html, it states the camera is a 5MP HP GlamCam. Why is that not an option when configuring one for purchase?

Does HP Spectre x360 have a number pad on the keyboard? The specs state that it is a full-size keyboard but, the picture does not show a full-size keyboard.
