Rated 1 out of 5 by TheSeeker from Poorly Built Poorly built. Case was not tight, causing inadvertent mouse clicks. LTE modem had issues out of the box. Returned and bought a Surface 8

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous from Happy Best all around 2 in 1 for me. Excellent display, portability and performance. Add to that 5G and microsd capability with no trade-offs. Good battery performance but can run a bit hot at times, thus 4 stars. Could not find an equivalent in this price range/quality from any other manufacturer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by uWave dot com SAR labs from 1.3 kg, 3Kx2K OLED, +AND+ 5G/4G-LTE anywhere I bought 2 x360s for my staff to consider, with the 14" being targeted at managers / execs and the 16" for engineers. This OLED panel is pure eye candy, with Win 11, we run an air-gapped virtual machine on our internal net VPN'ed from the host O/S and have plenty of display resolution. This 14" is actually physically smaller than my 2015 13" machine. The unfortunate thing is they ran out of this model and now can't fulfill our bulk order.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Megan_NC from Hands down, the worst laptop for the most money I bought this laptop with the intent of using it as a work-from-home device. I don't use it for anything else, yet it is incapable of performing the most basic of tasks. It doesn't have enough memory to support Zoom calls and other applications at the same time; I have to close out all other apps in order for Zoom to function, which means I can't take notes, share screen, etc. The camera / video quality is pathetic; it's dark, grainy and I had to buy a supplemental webcam because the image quality is so poor. I'm a sucker for aesthetics, which is why I fell for the Specter...but the pretty design is just to cover the horrific design flaws. I wish I hadn't purchased this device, but I can't afford to get another one after the several months I've spent trying to wrestle with it. Don't waste your time and money.

Rated 1 out of 5 by hpfan2022 from 5g is useless. Wont work with Verizon I bought this laptop specifically to have 5g coverage. I tried to activate this with Verizon and it wont work. Thats so silly. Why even sell 5g if it cant work with major carriers. The option they offer in the app is through some unknown carrier and trying to charge $10 a day for 1gig of data lol.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Josiethedog from So many problems I really liked the many great features associated with this at first. However, less than two years later, so many problems have surfaced. A relative has the same model and it works fine. I thought I got a lemon, but can see from other reviews that I am not alone. The speakers have stopped working correctly, the webcam is horrible - had to buy a separate one for Zoom because the laptop's camera is so grainy, the charger died after a year, the cursor stops working and I have to restart to get it to work, and there have been bizarre things going on with the screen, where apps and programs suddenly start flashing repeatedly and I have to shut it down. Unfortunately, I have to replace it due to its unreliability.

Rated 1 out of 5 by foorvsbar from Horrible camera and overheats on the lap I bought this for my spouse since I had been using a 16" Spectre x360 for a couple of years. The first time we tried an online meeting, we noticed that the camera was horrible. I cannot believe that HP has the nerve to charge a premium price (in the league of a MacBook Air) when it doesn't even include a decent camera; especially now, since online meetings has become a necessity since the COVID19 pandemic started. Then first time I powered on the computer, two days after receiving the shipment, the fan started howling; and, would periodically turn off and on. Albeit, that doesn't happen much anymore. Perhaps it was just downloading system software updates. The display seemed just okay for a laptop at this price point. Then again, I didn't select the 4K option. The only nice thing about it was the compact form-factor and the keyboard - just an absolute delight to type with its beautiful tactile feedback. However, it's too high a price to pay for just a nice keyboard. Now, more than a year after purchase, I noticed that the internals tend to get hot if you use it like a laptop. Meaning if you put this computer on your lap and happen to cover the bottom vent holes, or perforations, it will overheat. This also causes the display to freak out. For instance, the entire screen just showed colourful bands. DO NOT BUY THIS LAPTOP.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Nate in CA from Can't find a better laptop unfortunately I've owned three spectres over the past 4 years. Basically I cannot find another laptop with a comparable mix of high performance CPUs, touch screen with pen, <14 in screen, 2 in 1 flip, long batter life, and being super light weight. No laptop compares. However, I've foudn these come with negatives. My first one was defective out of the box (ghost taps on the screen), so I returned it after a couple months. The second one's usb2 port failed suddenly after 1 year, so being on a time crunch I bought #3 and sent in #2 to get fixed. After 1 more year #3's usb2 port failed suddenly so I sent it in to get fixed and went back to using #2 for another year until random keys stopped working (now it has an external keyboard plugged in and is used in my office, since its warranty ended). Now it's been about 1 year on the fixed laptop #3 and its usb2 port is failing again. Thus, I just purchased spectre #4. I'm excited for the features, but expecting it to only last 1 year based on prior experience.

Rated 1 out of 5 by DanielleM from Do not buy HP had a known issue with their corner mounted charging ports. I have a 13” spectre x360 and haven’t had mine for 2 years and it’s a $2,000 paper weight. Upon googling charging port failure, it is a HUGE issue with Hp spectre. I will never ever buy a HP again after purchasing this lemon. I have had dell and Sony and used them for years and years and only updated because the technology had improved. This is just flat out broken and horrible craftsmanship. Please google spectre charging part issues before you decide to take this on. I haven’t been more disappointed with a technology purchase ever. I rely on my laptop for running a small business and as of today my business is on hold because of this. A tech literally said if a HP corner charging laptop comes in he knows it’s a charging port problem before even talking to the customer. HUGE regret.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Milly3221 from Works well but doesn't last long. The motherboard shorted out after a couple of years. Seems to be a ongoing problem. Price is to high for that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by frankofamerica from Great Intel 5G Solution Option Laptop sports the new Intel 5G solution (cellular) vs. the Qualcomm X55. 2TB SSD upgrade is a bargain versus other manufacturers prices. OLED 3000x2000 screen color depth and aspect ratio are impressive

Rated 2 out of 5 by bill103482 from great in theory... i bought this computer two years ago. within a few months, it started having problems. it would turn off when i was in the middle of my school assignments. i did not have "too much" running. luckily, it was still under warranty, so i sent it in and they fixed the fan. no more problems. most recently, it all of a sudden stopped charging and was stuck at four, then one, and now zero percent. when it works, it works really well. i have had too many problems with the hardware. i expect a computer this expensive to last longer than it has.
