Rated 1 out of 5 by Mark Arizona from No more HP for me Long story, I never received it, and trying to track it down was a nightmare. This would have been my 3rd HP laptop. HP's customer service is non existent, they do not care about the customer anymore, fortunately there are a lot of other quality computer manufactures.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous from HP quality gone bad! The keyboard came with 2 keys with problems, I had many HPs in the past and was always happy but the quality seems to be forgotten by HP. Also the buying process was really bad, my order was cancelled for now reason and I had to place it again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Robert F T from HP Tech is Good and Service is Really Bad The laptop is what you would expect for a machine of this cost but the ordering process/customer service group is about as trash as you could imagine. From the various assurances, accommodations, and lies about the status of the order and delivery of the laptop, it exceeded anything I could imagine. I've never been more disappointed in the reliability and intelligence of a group and their sole intention seemed to be get waiting customers to go away by lying to them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Air Doug from Great computer with some annoying flaws I have used two Microsoft Surface computer for approximately 10 years, so that is the context for my review comments. Pros: I love the display. It is easy on the eye, has great resolution, and seems to adjust brightness just right without me being aware of it. There are no flicker problems like with the Surface Pro. Unlocking is very quick and accurate using the face or fingerprint recognition. The keyboard has great keystroke feedback and makes touch keying fast. The computer is fast, plenty fast for the web browsing etc. that I do. I don't notice fan noise. It may be there but I have never thought to listen or notice, so it must be pretty quiet. The touch pad is large. Battery life is good. Cons: I don't like that the cursor disappears and the touch screen capability disappears pretty often. I should say that more than once is pretty often, considered that it never happened at all in 10 years with the Surface Pros. I haven't figured out what triggers it. It may happen a couple of times in a day, or not for several days. I have to close the computer and reopen it, or once I had to restart it. Also, the text suggestion popup is a complete pain in the rear. It pops up for most of what you are typing. If you want to use one of the three suggestions, you have to select it with the cursor instead of just offering one suggestion that you can select with Tab or Enter. Then, if you move the cursor to another spot to edit, etc. without selecting one of the suggested words, you can't move the cursor/insertion point back to continue typing. The popup demands that you select one of its suggestions before you can keep typing. You have to put the cursor somewhere else to get the popup to disappear, then move the cursor to the end of the text to continue typing. I turned off the text suggestion because it is such a pain. The case is slippery so it can be a challenge to open the computer. I would have liked a USB A port. It pushes you to use Microsoft Edge. The HP Command Center pops up to encourage you to take a break from using the computer, so you have to interrupt whatever it is that you are doing to dismiss it. It times you even if the computer is sitting there and you are doing something else.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Dick W from Satisfied with HP Spectre Laptop The design is stylish. It's light. WiFi connection works much better than the previous computer. Touch screen works well too. I think overall good value. But disappointed with the speakers and microphone - both are weak and will probably need to get an external microphone.

Rated 4 out of 5 by A. Chiu from Great 2 in 1 laptop I bought this as a gift for my mother. She loves it. I personally enjoy my Spectre 2021 model. The Spectre model I got during the holiday season so there was a good discount. This computer is wonderful for everyday use. It came with a pen. The display is beautiful too and the touch screen responds well. I did like that for this 2024 model they added the touch ID on the power button as opposed to 2021 model where it was taking up a whole space where the ctrl button would be. What I do wish this model had that the 2021 model has was a physical button to turn off the camera. Additionally the 2021 model came with the laptop sleeve and this one did not. The laptop also connected well with my HP printer, albeit some issues setting up at first, but once that was solved very easy to bluetooth print. Overall wonderful 2 in 1 touch screen laptop.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Andrew2 from Great 2in1 if you don’t need a Gpu. This laptop was great, I just wish dedicated graphics was an option. I loved everything about it, ultimately returned it because I didn’t see myself ever using the 2 in 1 features, they just feel weird but it’s probably me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous from Maybe not the best laptop to play audio The audio from my old (2021) Spectre sounds better to me than from my new (2024) Spectre. The new one sounds muffled to me. But when I stream Spotify from the laptop to my receiver, the audio is very good. One other difference that's taking a while to get used to is the absence of dedicated Home, End, Page Up, Page Down keys in the new Spectra. Other than those issues, I'm pleased with my new laptop, especially the screen, which is better.

Rated 1 out of 5 by M Z W from Faulty hardware poor customer service I returned my Spectre within the first week due to faulty touchpad. But replacement has not arrived yet even after 3 weeks. In fact I have been charged two times for the same laptop with no refund of the old faulty Spectre which was received by HP 20 days ago. So the product is faulty with poor customer service. And I called every week for the refund and shipping info but no resolution so far. Thanks

Rated 5 out of 5 by P B B from Powerful little thing! There isn't much not to like. Keyboard takes some getting used to, and miss my num pad but getting there. The different screen format is great. Colors are vibrant and sound is warm and rich. Weight on my lap is beyond compare to my large laptop and it stays actually cool! I think I made the right choice.

Rated 3 out of 5 by 9julz from Some things are great, others not so good. I love 2 in 1 laptops, and I love that HP allows you to customize them. The good things about this laptop is that it has good battery life. I charge it a couple of times a day, but mostly leave it off the charger. It's only new so don't know how quickly that might degrade. What I don't like is the screen, it has a yellowish tinge that drives me nuts. I tried calibrate it, I tried everything to make it not so yellow, but nothing worked. Also the sound is not great. But if you want an average laptop to do the job its a pretty good pick.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Albion480 from More of a tourer than a sports car . . . Quite a good machine, bought to replace our two Specters from a few years ago. The new ones are slightly larger, definitely heavier and not so slim and elegant. Screen is vibrant, sound is good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Software Dev Guy from Outstanding Performance I am using this for software development as well as personal use. I ordered a pretty maxed out configuration, I7, 32GB, 2TB, and W11Pro along with the "HP Universal USB-C Hub and Laptop Charger Combo" to supply all of the needed ports. The combo has a USB-C, 2 USB-As, LAN, 1 HDMI, 1 Displayport, as well as pass through USB-C for charging and signal connection to the laptop. Everything works great and performs superbly. Note that if you want the maximum of 2 external monitors you may need some adapter cables. For example, if both monitors are HDMI, you will need a "Displayport to HDMI" adapter cable as there is only one HDMI port.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Anonymous from Great when it works… The spectre is a powerful machine and has been my favorite since its original debut. This model, however, has lid flaws. It does not enter sleep mode when the lid is closed. If one leave it open about an inch, it’ll enter sleep mode. If it’s closed completely, it launches again. Many interactions with tech support has not remedied the problem. Also, audio is intermittent oftentimes needing a reboot for the audio to return. Think again.

Rated 2 out of 5 by ErinN from DO NOT RECOMMEND I purchased this directly off the HP website instead of through a third-party like BestBuy. This would have been by 3rd or 4th HP Spectre purchase. I have a 13.5"-ish model because I travel frequently and want something light that fits in a purse. Purchasing it directly from HP, I assumed this was the same model and/or similar to what I have now as it was the smallest offering available. When the item was received, it was not even close to my current model. It was large and much heavier. I attempted to reach out to HP to see if they offered another version or maybe I just bought the wrong one, etc. The interactions with HP service reps made me insane. They did not listen at all and it was like pulling teeth interacting with them. Finally I decided to give up and just return the dang thing. And HP of course charged me a restocking fee. They should be reimbursing me for the hours of my time it took to deal with their pathetic customer service to return it. FYI - BestBuy has a smaller model of Spectre but it is still not as small as my current laptop. I will not be purchasing another HP product anytime in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kauai Kate from LOVING my new HP Spectre 2-in-1 Laptop!! I knew it was time for a new laptop. My faithful Dell (from 2013) was on its last leg. But I took my time, talked to friends & family, decided on features I wanted most, read reviews, and shopped around. Always a Dell customer, I crossed over to HP and it was the right decision for me at the right time! (They had an awesome sale this past July.) I’m still learning about everything this baby can do! I can honestly say that this is the most awesome laptop I’ve ever owned…14” touch screen, edge to edge display, amazing clarity & color, 2-in-1, and more!! Check it out, you will love it too!

It is fast; and doesn't get hot. The pen is okay, the camera and mic work great for conferencing. Windows works great on it as well, very quick and snappy. HP includes nice software to customize as well. I wish it was tucked into the settings menu, but oh well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by HP_Reviewer from Pros and Cons of Spectre x360 14 2024 Pros: Great screen. Great speakers. Great keyboard. Great battery life (when doing basic web browsing/document editing) Wakes up fast from sleep. Stable. Haven't had any blue screen or bugs or technical issues. Touchscreen feels smooth and it feels great to use with the included pen. No fan noise when doing basic tasks. Professional design. Impressive webcam. Cons: Difficult to open laptop. LED on power button is always on when the laptop is on. Comes pre-installed with lots of bloatware. Speakers lack bass. Lack of customization provided in the BIOS. Have to take care of screen because of potential for OLED burn-in (black wallpaper, remove desktop icons, go full screen in web browsers to avoid static tabs on top, etc). OLED screen flickers at low brightness and when viewing a grey/black image.

Rated 1 out of 5 by timmy1818 from HP x360 continues downward spiral into making great product line more and more unusable Bought this to replace previous gen (2021) model, because a friend needed a PC quickly. Bad idea. Literally everything is a downgrade. Screen = bad. went from 3000x2000 to 2800x1880 (useless 16:9 format). I didn't even LOOK at the spec when buying because how can a next years' model be WORSE than the one it's replacing? Keyboard = extremely bad. home/pgup/down/end keys removed, more buttons removed (where the heck is INS button???), continuing the trend of making F1-F10 keys useless by defaulting to media buttons. Fn lock now has an annoying LED that's ALWAYS ON when using the keyboard in normal mode (F1-F10 keys). Until now this was an option in bios and didn't need a dumb led. Now there's a distracting dot in the corner of keyboard. Even 2021 model was already "bad" with removal of INS and other useful keys and replacing with a power button inside keyboard (WHY? nobody asked). But this continues the trend into even worse. Yes, I know what a BACKSPACE key is. really don't need it spelled out in HUGE CAPITAL LETTERS. Removal of microSD reader = bad. Why? what was wrong with keeping a $5 part? Overall, laptop became thicker and feels more plasticky and way less premium than previous model. The only thing stopping me from just returning it right away is that the new intel processors/arc graphics is actually making mobile segment useful enough for proper work. Definitely an upgrade from i7-1165G7 from the previous model. And that's why it gets 1 star, otherwise it would have been zero.

Thank you for your question! The internals to the HP Spectre x360 14" Laptop are not consumer accessible. It uses the LPDDR5x which is onboard and does not provide PCIe slots for RAM. Asked by: terki
Thank you for your question regarding the HP Spectre x360 2-in-1 Laptop 14-eu0098nr (9C907UA). It is possible while using a USB-C/Thunderbolt dock and have all of the peripherals work externally without the unit being open. If the port on the monitor has both power delivery and DisplayPort alt, that will function similar to a dock.
