Great laptop for college
Bought this last year in July and wanted to do a review. When I first got this computer it would shut down out of no where and some times I would have audio issues where I couldn’t hear any sound for a couple minutes, it didn’t happen frequently but just a heads up! As a college student I don’t mind these things happening and the computer is fast and functional. Good storage and I love the fingerprint makes it easy to login etc. I’m overall happy with this product and the issues I had when I first purchase don’t happen anymore. I got this on sale last year for about $400 I wouldn’t spend more on this computer. Storage is great and I can download steam. I mostly use this computer for homework and watching Netflix and occasionally playing games. This is a good everyday computer but if you need this for work I would recommend buying something else. This was my experience with the HP Pavilion and what I experienced might not happen to others. Hope this review helped!

Esta padrísima la computadora. El teclado se siente muy bien, la pantalla tiene una gran resolución (a lo mejor le pudiera faltar un poco de brillo NITS, pero nada grave), el sonido es muy bueno, y es muy rápida. Si veo más adelante cambiar le ram por 2 de 16gb para hacerla más rapida pero eso es todo. Me encanto la computadora.
La mochila esta super super bonita. Me cabe todo lo que necesito y ha sido muy práctica para llevar mi computadora, stand, y todo lo necesario para trabajar en cualquier lugar. Me encanta que HP haya reciclado basura del mar para hacer la carcasa de la computadora y la mochila. Ambas tiene una excelente calidad.

Producto con defectos
El producto se recibió conforme. Llevó dos semanas usándolo y el screen touch no funciona desde el primer día. Al abrir muchas páginas en el buscador y utilizarlas, la laptop se traba y no responde adecuadamente, tomando más de 2 min en algunos casos de volver a la normalidad tal cual como un ordenador antiguo lleno de archivos. Necesito ayuda.

This laptop is just okay. It's a little weird to type on since the keyboard actually sits off to the left too far. Also, it loses connection to my WIFI on a regular basis (even when other devices are connected just fine) and the only way to get it back is to restart the computer. The speed and storage seem fine. I pretty much just use it for my side business, getting on the internet and just as a home computer.

Nice, but I need better sound.
I like it, but had to return it due to the audio through my earbuds. It was like listening to the external speakers. I want full rich sound and couldn't get it. I don't like Windows 11 at all.

Bad driver
Been using it for two weeks......as of now it regularly disconnects from Wifi and says that there is no wifi available. I have to restart the computer to get it to connect....in the middle of work projects, ect..........SUPER DISRUPTIVE. Upset that the driver is so glitchy since it is brand new.

LOVE it!
The screen is so clear and beautiful. The backlit keyboard was something I was looking for and found it in my price range on this computer. Great buy, I would recommend it. I am mainly using it for school now and its perfect. The keyboard is all uppercase letters, which is different for me and the number key pad on the side is different too but I will get used to it. Also,I purchased mine for just under $400.00 and now it is over $600.00 so the price fluxuates. So keep an eye out for the price changes

Well made and sharp looking machine
Feels well made. Does include a fingerprint reader despite the specs saying it didn't. I always feel that branded audio is gimmicky on small laptops but I must say the Bang and Olufsen speakers are great. Listening to a podcast or interview sounds like the person is in the room with you. Some reviews mentioned the location of the power button being in bad spot. I haven't found this to be an issue at all. Very quiet machine. I heard the fan come on once and it was actually pleasant to hear, not loud at all. It hardly kicks in anyway from my use. I went with Fog Blue which looks very sharp. If I had to nitpick, I'd like to see an indicator for the number lock key.

Tengo una pavilion de 13 pulgdas y las teclas tienen mejor firmeza en la escritura.
Esta PAVILION 15-+eh1021la tiene el teclado más suelto, el teclado de la barra espaciadora se siente simple y sin firmeza. El color de las letras debería ser de otro color como las de una elitebook.

Excelente máquina con la calidad que nos tiene acostumbrados HP. Muy completa, excelente procesador y suficiente memoria que excede la mayor parte de los requerimientos de un usuario promedio. La única característica que me hubiera gustado que tuviera es la del teclado retroiluminado (el término "luminoso" en las especificaciones llega a confundir al usuario).
Por cierto, me vino de regalo una hermosa mochila. ¡Gracias!

Realtek Wifi adapter is a Real pain
I would have given this laptop 4.5 stars as it is a good value for the features and price. However it comes with this Realtek RTL8852AE Wifi 6 adapter which was problematic from the start. This network adapter would disappear from the system intermittently leaving the laptop without internet access. A network reset or system restore helped to fix the issue temporarily each time it occurred. Eventually I was guided by HP Support to perform a CMOS reset which resolved the issue for a few months. However another intermittent issue emerged in which the Wifi card would not find any available wireless networks. CMOS resets and installing the latest drivers made the issue worse.
I have decided to cut my losses and purchase a USB Wifi adapter for this laptop instead of spending any more time troubleshooting this issue. This seems to be a relatively widespread issue so it is shameful that HP has not been able to resolve it as of yet. A laptop is almost useless without the internet!

The employee who I spoke with was very helpful and very patient. I worked with computers for 30 years but the technology has long passed me. It's going to take a lot of learning on my part. My only negative point is how long it took to receive the laptop. I know that was Fedex problem not HP.

I'm loving my HP Pavilion 15 Laptop. I use it primarily as a desktop than can travel so I haven't used the built in keyboard or monitor much. During setup, I did notice that the display was quite sharp. The machine came with Windows 11 which so far I am quite impressed with. The computers I use for music creation are running Windows 10 and I am concerned about some of my DAW and interface drivers running on 11. This machine maybe a good testing platform for that. There are only a couple of issues that I will work around with the PC as shipped. I'll need to have an USB hub for it as to run most audio interfaces and keyboard instruments into it I will require more than the three provided. Easily done. The lack of a built in DVD burner is something to be aware of and I already purchased an external one with the machine when I ordered it. Finally, I was actually unaware that it doesn't have a built in Ethernet jack for direct connection. I have a fairly strong 5G wi-fi signal and my internet speed seems adequate. This might be a concern for some users, however.
Over all, I think it is a great value. There are somethings, that if concern to you, would be best to weigh against other models or address through a customized order. That in mind, I still feel I got a great value on a machine that should serve all my purposes.

Fine so far except these two things.
The only thing I do not like is getting used to the numeric keypad. I also need to turn off the touch pad since I use a mouse. I am forever accidentally hitting the touch pad and off my computer goes somewhere it should not.

Excellent value for money, user upgradeable and excellent build quality.
The build quality of this machine is corporate grade. The solid magnesium chassis is stiff, sturdy, and the machine is user serviceable and upgradeable. Upgrading the RAM and SSD was as easy as past upgrades I’ve done on corporate grade machines like Thinkpads and Elitebooks.

Not a good experience for me with the HP 15z eh100 2021 AMD Ryzen 5500U Pavilion laptop
This is about my HP Pavilion 15z eh100, 2021 model , AMD Ryzen 5500U, 1TB Western Digital Blue SN550 nvme m.2, 32GB crucial DDR4, touch screen, 1920x1080 FHD, backlit Keyboard, FP lock/unlock..
Let me start off by saying that my dad passed away and I was given some money and that's how I purchsed my HP pavilion laptop.. It cost me right around $1100 USD total.
Okay, I spend much of my free time compiling AOSP roms for my devices and I've been doing this since Android began so I'm not someone who doesn't know about tech. My problems started almost immediately after I began using my HP 15z eh100. It started with USB ports no longer working to move files to and from my computer. I searched online and tried everything to fix this and nothing... Then I get a warning a few days ago saying the fan is dead and warning me to immediately shut it down so I did and it's now been off about a week. I went to HP site to possibly attempt some sort of warranty and what do ya know.. It's expired. 🤣 I've never plugged anything in to it besides my Pixel 5 and a new Samsung USB drive 128GB. I've trouble shot this 99 ways, made for sure it's not a usb driver issue, I've shut it down unplugged everything then held power button 30 seconds and turned it on again... That worked to fix this for many others on HP site but not on my end..
I will now order a fan and attempt to fix it myself and then once it's fixed I'll sell it for about 1/4 of what I paid for it. I'm spend about 2/3 of my time at a computer whether it's at work or home. I will NOT ever buy anything HP ever again. The whole situation where I bought this with money my dad left me made it all even worse. Anyway that's my story. Not a good experience for me.

The computer had connectivity issues. Wifi settings required repeated resets. That was bad enough. However, the poor customer service made a bad experience even worse. HP had lost a customer today. Never again. I am sure HP will not allow this honest record to be published.

Thank you for your question! This HP Pavilion Laptop - 15z-eh100 comes with a 256GB SSD hard drive. That will not be the space available on the hard drive as the OS takes up space. As the OS updates, more space will be consumed as well. As this is the case, this forum is unable to determine exactly how much space the OS will use.
