Rated 5 out of 5 by Andrew09 from Amazing!! I have had this for almost a year I was trying to find a good descent price PC and this one is amazing I can play about every game and that means that all the games I’ve played have played smoothly and no issues. But have not played all games. Even big games like GTA and Red dead I’ve played fine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by MickeyTa from GREAT machine but no restore media if it goes bad! GREAT machine but no restore media if it goes bad! This is very disappointing. They don't put a CD drive on a "gaming machine" and don't include restore media yet prices are higher than ever. When you call phone support it is some foreigner who barely speaks English and pretends to not understand what it is you want/need.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Anonymous from Decent for photo editing and gaming, gets hot I bought this pretty much maxed out in specs, and it runs pretty smoothly. Wakeup from sleep could be faster, and sometimes there's a little hang when accessing memory from the HDD, but overall a fairly good experience so far. When gaming, the fans can get pretty loud, the temps in the computer run warm, and the top of the computer gets quite hot. I had an external HD on top and I had to take it off bc of concerns of damage to the drive. Lastly, I had chosen windows 11 as the OS, and there are sliding popups on the right side of the menu bar. McAffee came with the computer (I don't like this software), and there were huge popups for it on the right side of the computer with seemingly no way to disable them (I looked up how to, and where you would disable those ads, there is no option to disable McAffees popups). I bought this because I needed a desktop for photo editing, running lightroom and photoshop + the occasional gaming and it is decent for all of that. Experience in photoshop has been generally smooth. Anyways, overall it is fine for the price point, but it could use a better cooling system design.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JG 48 from Perfect upgrade This PC was purchased to replace an over 7-year-old Pavilion Desktop. The previous computer was mainly used for Gaming, mostly Hidden Object games, and because of its age the computer was running poorly. It was important to continue with a computer that had Gaming capabilities and the HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop fit perfectly. I customized it to include a 1 TB SATA Drive and changed the memory from 8GB to 16 GB. Set up was easy and after a few days of adding Apps and software the computer was ready to use. I used an external Optical drive to load Games from each disc, which took a few days to complete. So far, this computer has a better response than the previous. Having used HP Printers and Computers for years the quality is always great and what I expect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by PafCaf from Fast Works well, no major headaches so I'm happy. The power button is extremely small and recessed so you almost have to use a fingernail to push it in. It does not power on just by pressing on it. That's a small problem, especially when you keep your hard drive tucked under your workstation in a hard-to-reach place.

Rated 1 out of 5 by axel321 from 2 weeks later it was crashing I bought this computer and had the shipping delayed 3 times. Two weeks after use it started crashing randomly and upon trying to boot again it wouldn't even make it to the hp logo it was just a black screen with a horizontal rainbow line though my screen. Eventually it worked again but if its already having problems like that two weeks in I'd rather return it and not take the risk that it will continue to happen.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Louis D from Missed CD/DVD drive Unit seems to be consistent in quality with other HP PCs and other HP products I have purchased over the years. Only one thing was a disappointment-- I assumed that it would come with a built-in CD/DVD player (to load games, etc.) since it is a "gaming PC". I guess that this was my fault for not reading the list of features closely enough. Otherwise, it is fine so far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by cbhacking from Compact, great value for a mid-range gaming system Overall: A solid mid-range gaming system that exceeded my expectations. I don't usually buy pre-built systems, but with the GPU market being Like That, this was a great deal, and I'm very pleased with it. Just don't expect to upgrade it much. Pros: * Great gaming performance. With the 3060 Ti, can handle 1440p and even some 2160p (4k) gaming with frame rates above 60 even at max settings. * Surprisingly good cooling; temps stayed below 70 C on CPU and GPU even running benchmarks. * Extremely quiet; even at full load I could barely hear it. * Compact enough to fit almost any desk, light enough to carry. Practically cute. * Internal cable management. * WiFi works very well (antenna behind the plastic front panel). * Excellent array of front-panel ports (2x USB3 type A 10Gbps, 2x USB3 type A 5Gbps, 1x USB type C, headset, SD slot). Cons: * Low upgradability. Only one free 1x PCIe slot, no free M.2 slot, only two RAM slots, room for one 3.5" SATA drive and one 2.5" SATA drive, not a lot of slack in the PSU. * No dust screen on the vents, so may need regular cleaning. * Limited back-panel ports (4x USB2 type A, Ethernet, audio in/out/mic) * Intel integrated graphics disabled so it needs to use the dedicated GPU constantly (might be possible to re-enable; I didn't try). Side note: Although the specs say DDR4-2933, my system actually came with faster DDR4-3200 sticks.

Rated 1 out of 5 by dougsan from missing cd Machine lacks a cd drive! Going back to my first machine in the 80s, I have never even seen a machine without a means of loading and copying external data. For this reason, I have to rate the machine only one star. I have all my Word and Excel data going back years on CD/DVD Drives. I did not let the process of machine moving data because I did not - do not - trust anything with my data.

Rated 2 out of 5 by AM Coy from Dissatisfying slow with max RAM purchased. Not as fast as it should be. Programs stutter and stop. I expanded it to the max memory I could - 32gig, plus extra gigs on the graphics card. It does run well, but when I run music, the music stutters and breaks, or sometimes stops, when other programs are running. My old HP didn't do that, and it had half the RAM. Maybe it's a Win 11 problem, not an HP problem, I dunno. But it bothers me very much, and I am dissatisfied with my purchase.

Rated 1 out of 5 by ChewBird from Good hardware but HP support needs education The actual hardware is solid. After struggling with HP support (website (error 500 server) issues and lack of knowledge by HP technical support people, I was (myself) able to downgrade Win11 Pro to Win 10 Pro and (finally), after HP tech support reducing a 500G drive to 28G, have full storage capacity. Once the HP bloatware was fully removed and my standard security software implemented the machine is now fast and error free. We added an HP monitor with built in speakers and I am still struggling to actually have adequate volume but the screen is sharp and the graphics adapter is more than adequate for most tasks (except for high end gaming).

Rated 1 out of 5 by Dizzy Doug from LACKS BASICS I haven't put my machine through its paces yet, having just received. Problems: 1. No documentation (available online) 2. No CD player (why it is lacking documentation) - WHO SELLS A MACHINE A MACHINE IN THIS DAY AND AGE WITHOUT A CD PLAYER? HOW AM I SUPPOSE TO ADD DATA? 3. No camera. This is not a real problem except the monitor I married this machine to does not include a camera.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Lpbp from Works good for games but no price protection I got this pc for my 13 year old to play games with his friends. It works well and no complaints on the product, however less than 30 days after delivery the price dropped by $50. I called customer support to see about using the price protection and was told it didn't apply bc it was a promotional sale. What's the point of having price protection if they find so many loopholes to avoid honoring it. We will probably look at other brands for our next purchase bc of the customer service issue.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Sugondese from Overall Great. Not too much upgradability. Love this PC. It is great overall, and in the current market where CPU and GPU prices are crazy, this prebuilt is a solid choice. It's more than enough for 1080p60 gaming. The only thing I would recommend is going for 2x8gb of RAM, and opting for at least the 512gb SSD. Great value, but be careful because the PSU and MOBO are proprietary.

Rated 5 out of 5 by WarrenGNV from 5.1 surround sound, and tech support It is a great PC, the only thing that was difficult about it was getting 5.1 surround sound to work in it. I was on the phone with tech support for over an hour, which included them doing remote access to help with the situation, and they could not determine how to get 5.1 surround sound to work in this machine. And they offered me ways to a return and refund, which I did not want and was not looking for. A few days after that, I sat down with it and explored the apps that are included with windows 11, I noticed an app named HP Audio center, it was there that I discovered that the speaker fill box needed to be checked in order to access 5.1 surround sound, until that box is ticked, 5.1 surround is NOT an option in speaker configuration. There are NO instructions anywhere on HP website, or in the setup manual that comes with this PC on how to activate 5.1 surround sound, although in the specs of the machine, on HP website to make purchase, it does say it comes with 5.1 surround sound. You people need to be able to provide your customers the information needed on how to do the setup on this. Until I discovered this on my own, there was no way to get 5.1 surround sound to work. Please, Please, Please, you people make a great computer, but you need to have setup instructions on how to set up things with this computer instead of leaving your customers baffled and hunting on their own on how to set things up. Thanks for a great computer with windows 11, however, ..... I give you a FAILURE for neglecting to provide detailed instructions on how to set up things in this computer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by thomas307 from Terrible I bought this PC 6 Months ago with a 2060s, 32gb ram and I7-10700. Without doing any research, I didn't realize that 400w is nowhere near efficient for this computer build. It literally says on NVidias website 550W POWER SUPPLY MINIMUM. Why would you guys sell this all with a 400w PSU for all of this, when one of the components needs 550w alone? Its stupid and ridiculous that you guys get away with this. 6 Months in and I am having nothing but problems with everything I do, even using just YouTube. Constant crashes, everything freezes, Msinfo32 constantly has errors and I cant even watch TV on it! I cant get a refund because its past 30 days and its terrible. I HIGHLY REGRET spending $1,900 on this TERRIBLE PC. I don't recommend this to anyone, you will have nothing but problems, stutters, error codes, and crashes 24/7. I WASTED ALMOST $2,000 ON THIS PIECE OF JUNK. I will never buy another product from HP again and I promise that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MD43 from Better online gaming experience This computer has turned out to be much faster then expected when online gaming. Graphics are wonderful, definitely love the Nividia Geforce RX 3060 Ti graphics card. Performance is delightful. The configuration of this computer is great. Only bad thing is the fact that you can not modify the power supply due to a the need of special connector. So if you want to go from 500W to say 750W or so, you cannot because the mother board will not allow it. The worse part is you cannot find optional power supplies on the HP web site either.

Does the MB support 3600 ram? if so, do you need to manually change settings in the BIOS?

I want to install 3 int. drives. A 3.5 and 2-2.5. Per your spec sheet the MB has 3 available connectors. 0, 1 and 2. Aside from this what other obsticals may I have. Power connectors, Drive tray space? http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06985094.pdf

no CD trays if thats what you need - all internal drives only. Get a USB housing for external things and just plug them in to the front/back usb ports.
