Squeaks when printing
Squeaks when printing. It's gotten really loud and obnoxious, and sounds like something in the paper handling system rollers .. I suppose I'll need to take the printer apart to figure out how to lubricate a few rollers, as the sound is very annoying, loud and distracting, and occurs EVERY TIME I print anything

Replacement printer for a Officejet Pro 6720
Got the new printer all set up and printed approx 200 pages over the first 30 days and I'm out of Yellow and all cartridges are low. Granted the initial cartridges are small. HP showed a ship dated for replacement ink, but it didn't show up for 30 days from generating the order. So I'm out of ink for a week. Then I get the replacement cartridges and print about 125 pages and I'm out of yellow again... In between all of this the printer goes offline at the drop of a hat. I've had to restart the printer on several occasions to get it to print. Not so impressed with this printer, I'm a huge HP fan. This is my 4th HP printer to compare against other HP's. Now I check the printer in HP store were I bought it and I see that it's been discontinued. I looked for that before made my purchase, because I did not want to buy something that's is being discontinued. How wonderful, I bought the extra 3year warranty too.
Overall If I could return it I probably would.

Not what HP promised
I purchased this printer to create award certificates, bulletins and print photos.
The certificates on stock card paper print perfect in black. Everything in color prints with lines and gaps. I have clean the heads, changed in cartridges, etc to no avail. This printer sucks up ink and produces a poor quality product!

"new and improved" a step backward
I had a mostly fantastic HP 8720 All-In One printer that somehow the software had a glitch and stopped printing. Up until that point I was very happy. I go on the phone with HP and ordered the "newest and improved technology" printer because the 8720 was discontinued. I got a 8035...prints slower, ink cartridges are about half the size of my 8720, and now it won't print blue. Prints purple instead of blue. Software advises all ink is full, which it is. IT'S A BRAND NEW PRINTER. It sucks.

IF you have an existing instant ink service the printer set up will not give you a choice on whether to replace your printer or add your printer. Generally the printer works good.

Good printer but had problems with wireless set up
So far the printer seems to be working fine. My problem was with the set up. I followed all the instructions including aligning with my network for wireless printing. Although I was able to print from my iPhone/iPad, I was not able to print from my desktop without having the printer connected to the desktop with a USB cable. I was not able to figure it out and had to call a friend who works in IT. He had to walk me through a different process to connect the printer with my desktop. Once he helped me the printer was able to print wireless from both my iPhone and Desktop. He advised me to keep the printer in sleep mode when not in use (as opposed to turning it completely off when not using it). He said the printer may change the IP address if I turn if off and then back on. I'm hoping it continues to work and I don't have connecting issues in the future.

The Hp is good only that still confused about the instant ink enrollment. I was told that an ink will be mailed to me for free and will have 3 months free printing but was surprised to receive a message telling me that l have 100 copies only ,am just confused about everything.

I’m not sure if I got a bad printer or what. It’s loud and sounds like it’s about to break when it’s printing. Print quality is less than what I was used to with my little desk jet printer. I’m sending it back.

Hp printer poor quality printing.
I have only had this product for a few weeks. The printing was beautiful at first now the colors are all skewed and it is printing with to much red. I have had no luck adjusting the settings it always prints the same.

Returning ASAP
Have to use their cartridges and if they don’t come you cannot purchase yellow anywhere. Several sheets feed thru while printing. Double sided smeared.

Easy setup with every feature I needed
I replaced a smaller HP printer with this one and love it. Very clear printing and I especially love the scanning tray on top for multipage documents. A time saver that prints every time and with instant ink I spend zero time with my printer on my to-do list. Recommend!

I bought this a couple weeks ago. I’m always happy with my HP products. This is the first time I’ve purchased one online for myself and I got off to a rocky start. I first ordered one, not realizing it only printed in black, no color. I needed color. They graciously took it back and the second one I ordered was a manual double side print. I print too much to have to be there to turn the paper. Customer service was great and again they graciously let me return it and on the third try, I was successful! I’m very happy with customer service and I know I will have years of service from this printer. Thank you HP for helping me finally get it right.

I bought this new printer just because HP Instaink was discontinuing the support of the printer I had. There was nothing wrong with the old printer - it worked perfectly. But - If I wanted to stay in the Instaink program - I had to replace it.

Initial problems.
I'm still trying to learn the ins and outs of my new printer. Two problems I have at the present time is that, for some reason, I'm unable to remove my older printer -- the 8610 -- from the programs in my computer and install the new printer in the programs. Maybe this process has changed in the intervening 5 years due to improvements. But it seems to me that I ought to be at least able to remove my old 8610 from my computers programs.
Another problem I have, at the moment, is that my black ink cartridge has become depleted in a relatively short time and I'm awaiting the arrival of my "Instant Ink" so that I can continue copying. Printing now is sporadic on the page even though there appears to be some ink left in the cartridge.

I got conned into buying a new printer because my 8610 Pro would feed to make copies but not to scan. The HP rep said it wasn't worth fixing and it was 6 years old so I would be better off to buy a new one. WELL THE NEW ONE DOESN'T FEED TO SCAN EITHER!!!!! Wouldn't you think the HP rep would know that!!!!! I should know better than to trust any non-American!!!

The printer is operating well so far. However, it was far too difficult to set up. I spent an hour and 45 minutes on the phone with HP support to finally get it working. It's also ridiculous that there doesn't seem to be a user manual for this printer.

Great capability and support.
Delivery was reasonably quick under todays circumstances. Haven't put the printer to much use but it certainly seems to work well. The best thing is the amount of support available. You are provided with software to make it not only easy to use it's various capabilities, but has the ability to troubleshoot a problem it one should present itself. I really like that.

Extremely happy with our latest printer. Great instructions to set up and great tech support help. Once I connected to our Wifi, printer started printing right away. Even learned new tricks while scanning documents. Love HP - always have - always will! And that is why we love HP!

It was a good product, just wish it came with a hard disc CD in the package and not have to ask for one to be delivered at a later time and date. Also, the online help is a little to hard to understand and i see myself as a savvy tech person, enough to be dangerous. lol

Are there cartridges that are not Instant ink? I bought this printer used, and it is not letting me print even with ink in the cartridge. It says I need to update the billing info, but I don't have the old account information.
Hello. Thanks for your question. We recommend reaching out to the original owner to cancel the HP Instant Ink subscription. Once the subscription is canceled, you can use the HP 910 or 910XL ink cartridges with this HP Officejet Pro 8035e printer.
