Great for the price.
I got this laptop 30% off, and at that price it's a great computer. It would be good at full price, but for that price I would expect a touchscreen, perhaps a slightly brighter screen, and a backlit keyboard. Other than that, I'm very happy with this computer. It has a nice screen, the keyboard has a light touch, and the computer is fast.

Poor location of delete key
I do not like the location of the delete key. It is not in a good location, and being too small, it is easy to hit the key next to it. I often delete by mistake, not being a professional typist. It is very annoying.

Poor Quality control
Within a week, a bulge developed next to the touchpad. Took it to a local repair place and he found one of the screws for the battery housing had come out. Fortunately no damage was done but it shows lack of quality control.

Great value
The laptop I configured came exactly as I ordered. I chose a lighted keyboard, a 17 inch touch screen and extra memory. It took awhile to set up as expected and runs well for my needs. It's much faster than my old laptop.
My only concerns are that the keyboard seems to be a little extra sensitive and when I put the computer to sleep, sometimes it takes longer than I expect or my other computer takes. Overall, I am happy with the laptop and I think I made a great choice The base price was good, and even with the extras I added the price was reasonable. I recommend this laptop.

Changes in order process for your agents
The delivery of the laptop was okay very slow but I waited. The materials I bought with my package was not sufficient to transfer data as I was told so I had to order more materials to transfer data . I did calm and ask why it wasn’t included in my package and they would be glad to stand it to me more costs. I order same materials on Amazon much cheaper than was quoted on the phone . Novice at ordering computer online and was told that was all I needed. Just disappointed! I do have a weird cliche on my screen . I’m attaching a video!

Was purchased as a Christmas gift. Order form was a bit misleading in that it requested (paraphrasing) Standard Delivery or 2-3 Business Days. What I do not think was made clear was that this delivery time was from the point that the laptop hit the ground stateside. My recall is not the greatest; if the deliery date is important to you, I suggest you be more diligent than I was in fully understanding the timeline.
As to operation, my understanding from the recipient is that the machine booted up but that it quickly 'bricked up'....meaning that it has been totally useless. I do not have access to the machine so I do not know if I, as a more experienced Windows user, would be able to get it running (reformatting, contacting HP (or attempting to).
My suggestion is that you not purchase one or gift one if you or the ultimate user is not somewhat tech savvy.

Fun Laptop with a 17.3 inch screen
This is a great laptop for doing light work. Surfing the web, even playing some older games at 1080p. It seems well built. You can upgrade memory and SSD, if you want. I think for the price it's a great laptop.

Keypad issue - it will repeat letters at random times.
I am not used to a laptop being so big so that has been a challenge. The only other problem I have is that sometimes when typing it will repeated letters for no reason.

After a few difficult problems and delays dealing with HP regarding delivery of my order, I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to set up this unit the way I wanted it. If your on line service was only so easy.
I love the size of the screen. I love the speed I have seen -- only spent a short time working with it, but it seems to be more than I expected.
Please make you call in service more user friendly. Make it possible to get to a LIVE PERSON as quickly as possible. The AI prompts do not always work and are highly irritating.

If you want to use it to watch movies or videos, you will find that the sound is not great, and the quality of the video is not as clear, often freezing as I have experienced with other laptop models. The operating system failed after 5 days. I spent 3 hours on the phone downloading "a fixed operating system" and after 1 day it failed. I returned the laptop. There must be a lack of quality control.

I love my hp. Inexpensive and high quality. Super fast and great. I love the big screen for watching YouTube. At first I didn't like the keyboard setup but then I discovered the number pad, which also functions as direction keys. One thing I don't like about it is I sometimes press the right click on the mousepad instead of normal click which is annoying. I also don't like Microsoft Windows and setting it up is a huge pain. Otherwise it's great . Only froze on me once so far. Great laptop and good price..

Decent computer, but...
The USB-C port does not support additional monitors like my previous laptop did. I should have done better research before purchasing. Additionally, there are not enough USB ports overall. The monitor size is good, though you have to have it angled "just so"; otherwise the screen is hard to see. So far, the computer is decently fast. I will be curious to see how long it lasts.

Also, the RAM slots are designed for the 3200 speed, if a faster speed is used and doesn't blue screen it will still operate at the 3200 speed.
