Rated 4 out of 5 by Mark in Missouri from Love my new laptop Love my new laptop. It was made in China and took almost 2 weeks for order date. I thought HP was USA. I guess just about everything is now made in China. HP phones line are not answered by a real live person except Sales personnel, which were very helpful. All in all a very good experience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bad8* from Great but without an SD or DVD readers or writers. :-( When I purchased this computer, I showed the customer service rep a copy of what I had purchased four years prior, I said I wanted the same exact thing. This new computer did not include a memory card reader for SD, micro D and CF Memory Cards, as well as an External DVD Drive and Writer. I had to purchase them. I was very disappointed about that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Betty St Louis from The right laptop for me. I bought my HP Envy 17.3 Laptop on HP.com and my sales rep was a man named Bruce. Bruce thoughtfully listened after asking me to describe why I needed a new laptop and how I planned to use it. He took the time to help me sort through exactly what features I needed. I love my new laptop because it fits my needs. Bruce made the difference.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LesleySaSa from Love this Laptop I am thoroughly impressed with my HP Envy 17.3-Inch Laptop PC! The large 17.3-inch screen provides ample space for multitasking and an immersive viewing experience. The facial recognition feature is incredibly convenient, allowing for quick and secure login without the hassle of typing passwords. This high-tech touch really enhances the overall user experience and adds an extra layer of security. While the laptop's performance and features are top-notch, there are a couple of minor drawbacks worth noting. The speakers occasionally sound a bit blown, which can be distracting during audio playback. Additionally, the mouse pad is quite large, and I sometimes accidentally brush across it while typing, which can shift the cursor unexpectedly. Despite these small issues, the HP Envy 17.3-Inch Laptop PC is an excellent choice for anyone needing a powerful and feature-rich laptop with a generous display. Highly recommended!

Rated 4 out of 5 by S..P.. from Good performance&cost. Bad case design for upgrade I've bought multiple HP Envy laptops over the years. They appear to offer the best bang-for-buck compared to other vendors. I mostly use them as desktops (i.e. not looking for portability). The only issue I have with them is how they blank out/appear dead when upgrading memory. I wasn't aware of this and thought the machine had been bricked. Eventually it came up and is working fine but I've never seen this behavior before. When upgrading my Thinkpads, the system POSTs right away and comes right up. And what happened to the days when the internal storage and memory were accessible with a simple cover removal? This need to have to remove the entire bottom casing is just bad.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Bearface from HP Envy Laptop 17t-da000 This is an excellent replacement for my old HP Laptop (Pavilion 17-f215dx). The only issue was the data transfer vendor, LapLink PC Mover; it took me three calls to the vendor to finally get a tech support person who knew what they were doing. Once achieved all was goof

Rated 1 out of 5 by Joschka from I have still not been able to use this machine because HP seems unprepared to repair it! Something failed and before I was able to get any use out of this machine the system board failed. The repair center in Texas does not have any replacement system boards so they added two weeks to what has become a month-long mess. I shipped it to them on 7/20 and they now estimate an 8/19 return!

Rated 5 out of 5 by RichieB from Computer and Service review The laptop is excellent. Well manufactured, operates perfectly and very intuitive. The customer service is HORRIBLE, unless you purchase a customer service plan. Once you purchase a custormer service plan, you receive all the help you need. Don't expect a lot of help when you first purchase an HP computer or laptop. I expected to get SOME customer service assistance for the first 30 days....NOPE.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Jackshn from Buyer Beware Well for starters, it took almost a month to receive it. The whole purpose of buying it was for work since my other laptop quit. That didnt happen. Now the computer runs hot every time I use it. Customer support say 20 min, over an hour of waiting and it is still not fixed. Had to buy a cooling pad for it, which was an expense I didn't expect to have. The touchpad occasionally glitches out and will either not select or not tap unless youvpress down very firmly. For the amount of money I paid, this is ridiculous and I am stuck with it until I can afford a different one. Every laptop I have ever had has been an HP and this is the only dud and i spent 3 times the money on this one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Jeff P from Seems slower than prior laptop plus shipping prob Shipping was a nightmare. HP would not listen and Fedex could not change. Just days before delivery demanded to speak with a supervisor who had the delivery changed to a Fedex location (took so long to make that delivery date ended up being while we were on vacation). HP kept blaming Fedex when only they could fix the shipping terms. My persistence was reason I got the computer and it wasn't returned.

Rated 5 out of 5 by R. Rodgers from Nice laptop....shipping stinks. Very nice laptop. Have purchased several similar HP laptops over the years. I always buy one I can configure to my liking. It has been my experience that they are quality PC's. The only down side is the shipping taking so long. Mine was ordered May 30th and I received it June 24th. I tracked it as it started out in China for a few days then went to Japan for eight days then back to China for a few more days then to Alaska then to Tennessee before getting to me in Virginia.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Anonymous from Laptop Serup I like the screen and the touch pad, but I really don’t like the power connector to the laptop. It looks like something that will break easily. Also it’s hard to load software for the HP Tank 7600 Printer, windows software, and my Spectrum internet.

does this fold into a tablet?

Asked by: jmor0910
Hello. Thanks for your question. This HP Envy Laptop 17t-da000 does not fold into a tablet. If you want a 2 in 1, we advise looking at the HP Pavilion x360, HP Envy x360, or HP Spectre x360 laptops. They can flip into four modes: laptop, tent, presentation, and tablet. They also have touchscreens.
