My Laptop Upgrade
I upgraded from an HP Pavilion - 15-cs3504sa because I found that the old laptop was unable to cope with Lightroom, Photoshop and large MS Excel and Word documents.
My new HP Envy 16-h0001na is able to cope very well with Lightroom and Photoshop saving me a lot of frustration! I do, however find that it tends to be a bit sluggish when loading the large Excel documents.

Laptop good, Retail box left on porch bad
My wife, who i purchased this for, absolutely loves the laptop. I was concerned that the Box that the laptop came in was the retail packaging and was not put into a separate shipping box, but the carrier did not harm the product at all. Please be careful as a HP laptop box being left on the front porch is a recipe for theft.

EXTREMELY Disappointed
Laptop is bad. 1. Screen constantly flickers on/off, especially when it's plugged in and I'm trying to type. Imagine how frustrating it is to try and type profesionally while the screen keeps turning off. 2. Constantly overheating when charging while being used in a very typical fashion - emails, word docs, pdfs. I do not run any games or large usage programs, although I did purchase this laptop in the hopes of using it for Autodesk's Revit at some point in the future. Given how horribly it performs while charging, I'm not sure it can handle anything but the simplest of activities.

I think it goes without saying that this is by far the best piece of tech I have ever bought. With all the bells and whistles. HP has made an exceptional beautiful laptop here. I am quite ecstatic with the 4k OLED touchscreen display and I find the cpu is plenty powerful paired with the 3060 graphics card. More than enough ram too. It handles what ever I throw at it. Overheats, Battery life is bad, wobbly screen.
This laptop overheats like crazyyyy. I was on the phone for 2 hours trying to solve this problem and they couldn't do that so they suggested I return it or get it fixed, (and this is after I return another laptop called HP envy 17t-cr0000 because the display had a backlight bleeding.) The fan is so loud I couldn't imagine using this in a public place. The CPU temperature gets to 120- 160 degrees with light software running in the background. The battery life isn't 9 hours and 45 min not even close, you will only get 3-4 hours of battery life at most. By the way, this laptop can't charge with USB C. and also this laptop has a wobbly screen. I noticed that most of the 5 STAR REVIEWS ARE COMING FROM HP PROMOTION.

I have been in need of a new computer for a while now. I was hoping for something easy to use and set up. This HP Envy Laptop most certainly met those needs. Once charged, it walks you through the setup step by step. Even those who aren't tech savvy will have no difficulty. It is lightweight, but powerful. It exceeded my expectations. I use it mostly for working online, not really gaming. I would recommend.

Laptop great expect for webcam
This laptop is a great upgrade from my previous laptop, but I am very disappointed with the blurriness of my video on the webcam. I work from home so having a webcam for conference calls was an important feature and I expected better picture quality from the HP True Vision 5MP IR camera. This is supposed to be a premium webcam on the more expensive HP laptop models, so I was let down to find out that my previous HP(which was probably about 5 years old and a much cheaper option) had a nicer webcam than this newer and more expensive model. This has been a great laptop so far, but if you need a webcam I don’t recommend buying any of the laptops with this webcam.

The specs of the laptop are great, however it seriously falls short when you start using it.
I'll start with the good - 16:10 screen and the key is great. The removal of the number pad allows the keys to be centered and larger. It's probably my favorite laptop keyboard in a long time.
The bad - Glossy screen leads to bad glare. I thought it was a matte screen when I bought it, but no, it is glossy. The keyboard being silver looks great... until you can't read the F keys at the top due to the white background on silver. You need to turn the backlight off during the day and then back on at night to be able to see what the Function keys do.
The ugly - the audio. While it really sounds like a great idea, the audio stinks. Because the laptop is constantly turning the amplifier on and off (as best as I can tell), it makes a popping/crackling noise before it will play and sound and after. This also leads to a delay in audio starting. The delay isn't horrible, but the popping makes using the laptop in a quiet room unbearable. It also makes it at random times, too. Support tried, but wasn't able to resolve the problem. The first attempt was an exercise in frustration as they "couldn't hear the noise" in the recording I took with my cell phone then couldn't receive the video they wanted of it.

This is not a good quality laptop. Fan often ran loud and there were “out of memory” error messages when browsing on Chrome, even though it comes with 32GB of RAM. Needless to say, I switched to a MacBook Pro and I’m so happy.

Quickly Overheats
This laptop functions well, yet has many physical issues. The largest concern is how significantly it starts to heat up from the second you turn it on. The metal casing becomes very hot to the touch, up to the point where it physically burns your fingers. This computer is also very heavy, making it less than convenient for portability. It is difficult to actually open up the lid, as the tab you hook your finger in is extremely small. The screen is a great size and the display is gorgeous, but it does have a glare and reflects a lot. The screen itself doesn’t bend back very far at all, so it restricts viewing. The touchscreen is convenient and responsive without delay. This laptop boots up incredibly fast, and seems to run all programs with ease. It does come with unnecessary programs pre-installed which cause pop up notifications. The overall battery life isn’t very long, and block on the charging cord is huge and heavy. The block on the charging cord also gets very hot when charging. I was impressed with how quickly the laptop does charge though. The sound quality was impressive and I liked the dual speakers. I enjoyed the large size touchpad, that there aren’t buttons, and the whole thing can be clicked. I also like that there’s a key on the keyboard that allows you to shut the webcam for security. The keyboard itself is comfortable for typing and has adjustable backlighting, which I enjoy. It’s likely that this laptop will work for any need you have- from word processing to gaming, but the pros and cons need to be heavily weighed.

Great specs and performance
I was impressed with how quick and zippy the HP Envy 16 laptop is. It turns on almost instantaneously thanks to a 1TB SSD. The generous 16 GB RAM allows for multiple programs to be open at once without sacrificing speed. This particular configuration also comes with the latest 12th generation Core i7 processor as well as NVIDIA Geforce RTX 3060 graphics so it can play the latest games. Video looks great thanks to the WQXGA display and sound is quite good as well.
Aesthetically, the laptop looks pleasing with a silver aluminum finish. I also like that the keyboard has a bright backlight and the letters on the keyboard are quite large.

Works Great
HP Envy has everything I need and want for schooling and working from home. I love how highly quality and sleek the design is and I like the heaviness of the laptop. It has lots of storage and space for my pictures as a content creator and I love how I can take it with me whenever I go with a rechargeable battery that lasts along time. My favorite feature is the touch screen so I can make pictures bigger on the screen and has an amazing camera. Setting up the laptop was quick and easy.

Let me start by saying the hp envy laptop is nothing short of the best laptop I have ever owned I do alot of picture and video editing along with my son using this laptop for gaming and schooling and it has not let me down with any of that everything about the ho envy has been great for us let me start with when it first arrived in it's long skinny box with a carrying handle I noticed it was very well packaged and loved that the box had a handle to carry and wasn't big and bulky also I noticed that even with everything inside the box it wasn't very heavy so that's a plus because some laptops are far to heavy but not this one it's just right so after opening the box I noticed everything was placed and wrapped very neatley and secured in place so that everything stayed safe in the box after getting everything out and powering up the laptop the first thing I noticed was how bringt and vibrant the screen made everything looked it's unlike any other laptop I have ever owned setup was a breeze and did not take very long at all to get though as a matter fact I noticed everything moved pretty quickly on the ho envy laptop the wifi connected fast all screens loaded super fast it was like a click an go I'd click an it would pop up almost instantly also I'd have to say my top two favorite things about this laptop are the fingerprint scanner and the fact that it's touch screen it's gives you more freedom to experience things in a whole new way this ho envy is nothing short of amazing it has an Intel core processor , 1TB state drive , 16 GB sodium ddr 4 sd ram , 15.6 led display , 16 GB memory , 512 GB storage , hp wide vision 720p hd camera , ir thermal sensor , micro SD card reader , 6 cell 84 wh li-on polymer battery, 8hours 30minutes battery life , windows 11 , And don't let me forget to mention about how light weight this hp envy is making it easy to take on the go rather you need it at home or in the office and there's so much more I could say the list goes on an on of all the great things this hp envy laptop comes with I have to say that this laptop charges super fast also it takes about 45 minutes to get a full charge once the battery has died this hp envy has made my life so much easier and my work load easier and it is very easy to navigate and get familiar with I'd have to say I don't think I will ever go back to another laptop even my son's friends and some of our family have loved how well this laptop works when they come over an need to use it needless to say I will be buying another one for my son as a Christmas gift this year so I can have mine all to myself as he loves that he can play all his games an don't have to worry about lagging so he said he wins more now gotta love these kids now days

well made chassis and great hardware , unless im doing something wrong theirs a little bit of false advertizing as far as 120 hz being in the title . The bottle neck would have to be the gpu as far as gamming goes cpu ussage wont go above 60-75%.

Want to love it, but battery life is unusable
The components, screen, and overall build of the laptop are fantastic. Heavy tasks run with ease and games run quite well.
HOWEVER, I purchased this laptop to use in school, and my unit is averaging about 3 hours per charge (battery saver, lowest brightness, no keyboard lighting, and no background tasks with only chrome open doing light web surfing/homework) which is unacceptable and unusable for my use case. I will have to either get a replacement unit or return this laptop since I've tried everything short of opening my unit (reading battery logs, tweaking settings, closing all applications on startup, amongst many other things). I want to love this laptop, but the battery life makes it unusable for me.

Love this amazing laptop!
I was tired of my 6 year old laptop that was so slow and had a bad battery that would no longer charge, so I decided to get a new one. After doing tons of research I settled in on this one and absolutely love it. One of my simple but favorite features about this laptop, on top of all it's impressive features and lighting fast speed, is the fact that it does NOT have a number pad on the right of the keyboard. I've always hated them as your hands have to be placed OFF center to start typing. I'm a long time HP customer and really like their products. There's all pros on this one and no cons that come to mind.

Great multipurpose machine on the go
This is a great laptop if you have a variety of needs from your machine - light-to-medium intense gaming, light video/audio production, web development, video conferencing, etc. There are some points where it suffers slowdown upon launching apps even with everything up to date, however, it is a snappy machine during the start up process.

I had just bought a 2022 Newest HP 17 laptop and was not told in the specs that it did not support HDR. The graphics are AWFUL. I would never have purchased it if I had been told up front. I would have much preferred to have purchased this instead with NVIDEA GeForce RTX HP needs to do a better job when providing necessary specs.

Incredible Laptop
This laptop is a massive upgrade from my previous one. It looks beautiful as soon as it comes out of the box, very stylish. The setup was quick and smooth, no problems connecting to my network. Within minutes I was connected and was quite shocked at the speed it has. I didn't realize just how far behind my old setup had gotten. Downloads happen in a fraction of the time which is great for gaming. The large screen provides amazing graphics and the touch screen allows me to create a lot easier without having to zoom in as often or strain my eyes. As someone getting back into graphic design this packs a powerful punch, with enough storage to last a long while. The speakers sound great and the battery life is very impressive considering how much this computer can handle. I haven't found any flaws as of yet and couldn't be happier with this choice.
