Other than that it was easy to set up and easy to use. I love the option to print front and back which my old printer didn’t have.

I have been unable to install, and can't find directions online and learned that this printer operates from a cell phone and have to download an app to print. I tried downloading from the hp install directions link, but doesn't work, and I never print from the Microsoft app. This printer is useless to me and extremely frustrating for a senior use to having a screen. Couldn't even figure out how to make the ink holders move to where can load. I had an HP Envy 7000 series and was first printer that was wifi only and first printer I was able to easily install, though HP tech had to download different program for scanning which I do everyday - the microsoft printer app didn't work for scanning and isn't working for this new one. Am returning before 30 days.

A truly horrible machine that has made my days on this earth that much bleak. From here on in, I’ll be prioritizing my health and sanity, which means No More HP products! Post note: I actually think they design these printers with the intention that they won’t last much more than a year. It’s the only possible explanation.

The HP Smart app is glitchy and unhelpful, even on Windows 10 on a relatively new laptop, so setup didn't work as planned and I still can't scan anything. The labyrinth of help options between the app and online help is impenetrable, and customer service is offline more than they are available. The display on the printer itself is incomprehensible, with various flashing lights and symbols that make little sense. The printer is slow and prone to printing random system pages -- I just burned 2 pages of expensive labels when it decided to print an alignment page. Also, HP Instant Ink is a complete joke. I spent no less than 2 hours on the phone with customer service last week because everything I tried to print in color came out yellow only, but the app insisted my color cartridge was fine. No wonder there is a class action about this stupid, useless service.

In terms of ink usage, we will see. My other HP prints one or two full color pages and whoops out of ink. Think that's really weird. This one so far is still printing

Now it just doesn't turn on. Returning. Really not satisfied. All the HP help stuff tells you to unplug it in a certain order but honestly has done nothing.

I've got instant ink with it and don't have to worry about running out. It's a good deal. Printer is also very modern looking and has a scanner. It does not have a separate photo tray, but it's easy to swap out. No negative things to report, good printer

Easy to use and I especially like the paper tray because it holds much more paper than my previous printers.

Rated 1 out of 5 by jas42 from worst printer ever i am so fed up with this printer. do not buy it. without warning, it stops printing. when you reboot it, it insists on that test page..what a waste of ink and paper. it crashes, and then next morning starts printing a 16 page document all over again. i have ended up using so much extra ink and paper. i had the lesser model which was worse than this one. the scans are very amateurish. i had an HP photosmart 7520 for about 10 years and loved it. i bought hp again based on that experience but this cannot compare. it's garbage.

I am satisfied and happy with this printer. It does all it says, and more. Its an all in one so it does more than just print you can also scan print and make copies with it so its the best of all worlds in that department. The fact that it came with 2 years free ink is also a huge bonus!! I did have some issues with setting it up but the directions it came with were very helpful and easy to follow so it went pretty good and once you have it setup you neednt worry about that again! Its also very easy to connect any and all devices to it as well plus you can print from pretty much anywhere in your home!! One of the things i liked the most about this product was that it has dual band Wi-Fi and it offers Automatic 2-sided printing!! That is fabulous! I was happy with that feature for sure! The design of this device is also a huge bonus as its slim and does not take up much room. I am very happy with this printer/all in one and Id recommend it to others especially with the price as its very reasonable for a product that can do all that this one does. This is now my go-to and I am happy to have it! The reason for the 4 stars and not 5 is the hassle in setting it up and at times the paper can crinkle while printing

HP has taken the next step... making their products so intuitive, you find yourself thinking of the possibilities the 6075 can't perform! Easy setup, connected to my home office/wireless network with no problem. I was able to download the drivers and "find" on the HP Smart device/Print Service apps already installed. Printed from every device I tried effortlessly. Compact machine that prints double sided with robust color for those that need this spec. I find myself doing more scanning... and the Envy is up to the task as well. Look forward to travelling again, taking pics... and not waiting at Kinkos/Staples to pay/pick them up. Single guy that prints a lot... I'm sure it's capable of handling family needs as well!

I have had this printer for a few weeks now and have been very pleased so far. I like that it has a small footprint and takes up very little desk space. I used the GUI PC Setup and had the printer connected wirelessly, and up and printing in about 20 minutes out of the box. The HP Printer Software had very detailed instructions on how to connect and setup the printer. It also has "edge lighting" which is lights on the front of the printer that can tell you the status of the printer using various colored light combinations, a very nice feature. One of the best features of this printer is that it came with "HP Instant Ink" for free for a period of two years. This free service only took me to register and was prepaid in the form of an account credit, in this case "free" meant free! The print quality seems to be very good as I've printed text documents and photos. The only things that I would possibly change on this printer are; the buttons on the front control panel are not backlit and only light up when they are pressed; and the output tray could be better built as the end piece that catches the paper doesn't seem to be high enough. Overall this printer is an excellent choice!

This printer was SUPER easy to install and start to use just minutes after openings the product. I love how I can print right from my or phone and from my comp wirelessly. The product does print quick and the colors are brite and look great on the paper. The printer ink does go out fairly quick or let you know it is running low after getting running. The product does offer a program to help with getting ink sent to you throughout the year that I did not sign up for but I am considering now. I am using this product in my home office which is easily accessed and has no problem with being far away and to start the printing process from afar.

However, after testing it, I would happily pay full price for it. It does everything I need it to in a pretty little package. The ENVY is cute, sleek, fast, and compact. It's only about 17"x14"x5" and fits perfectly into my bookshelf. It also only weighs about 12lbs so it was easy to remove from the box and set up. And only 1 cord! No more pesky connections and plugins - only the power cord. The wifi connection is fantastic and super easy to set up. With the HP printer software download through my computer, I didn't even have to enter in my crazy password. Within a few minutes I was up and running. I'll never go back to old school cord printers. Blegh! It does have a soft blueish-white light in the front of the printer. I'm not sure if you're able to turn the light off or not as I wasn't able to find it in the settings... I feel that it provides a nice nightlight for my living room but I know other people might not care for the light. So far, I have been using it for several weeks working from home and haven't had any jams or issues with ink. The printing is clear and clean and I tried two different brands of paper with two different brightness levels and didn't have any issues there. The scanner also works really well and takes clear pictures of the pages. I am working on an art book in my spare time and I'm very happy with the quality of the scans of my art. It works far better than printers I've had in the past and I'm hopeful that the ink will last longer as well. Plus, it looks like you can adjust the ink settings to prolong the cartridges even longer. And the HP multi-device feature is new and great. No more having to print from ONLY one device! I can print from my phone now and it's just as fast. The only downside I could find it that it's a little loud. But with how well it prints, scans, copies, and sets up, being a little loud isn't so bad. And if that's the only negative I can find for it, it still gets an A! And if/when this ENVY wears down or I drop it while rearranging my house due to going COVID-crazy... I will immediately go purchase another one.

It was easy to set up and get started. This printer lets HP know when you are out of ink and the ink automatically gets sent to you!!! They have a monthly subscription for really low prices to send you ink before your printer runs out. All you have to do is sign up and that's it nothing else to do. I never receive an error message like "your printer is offline" with this printer. It performs really well. My favorite feature is that ink automatically gets sent to me so I never have to worry about running out. This product is much better than what my friends have at home. It out performs theirs and my old printer!! This printer met all my expectations and then some! I really don't see any room for improvement when its perfect already!!! I use the printer for work and personal stuff at home in my office. Its slim and really doesn't take up a lot of room either. Great Printer I am definitely in love with it!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by meneray from I feel like I won the lottery I received this printer as a free sample I feel like I on the lottery it comes with Instaink which is mailed to you instantly via a WIFI monitoring of your printers ink reserve to the address you choose. The printer was easy to get set up. I estimated 20 minutes before I could print but it as almost plug and play 5 minutes tops. I have mine set up in my dinning room next to my modem but it doesn't matter because it is a wireless printer I can print from anywhere via the app on my phone as long as the printer is connected to Wifi. The only only con is the error keys, I could not tell they were buttons at first but tap them and found out

The setup and installation on both my PC and Mac was quick and easy. My iPhone recognized it right away and I was able to print great color photos without any problem. The speed and quality for printing black & white documents is very good. Scanning worked well too. No complaints and I would recommend this little printer/scanner.

I love the wireless printing capabilities as well as the scanning/copying features. I have also used the Envy 5000 series and I like the screen on that one better than the screen on the Envy 6000. Otherwise, the two printers are quite similar and are both great printers.

This is advantageous in a tight home office/remote worksite. The profile is also perfect for the desk or shelf. Set up can be a challenge: connection to different devices is a trick. HP Support steps in though and provides a resolution. You can easily find HP Support assistance on their YouTube channel. This step by step tutorial is useful. The auto shipping on the ink is a useful feature, no more running out to the store or having the print stop mid project! There is a savings also! Select a low traffic area as the paper feed tray is the "Arm" style. Avoid areas where it can be bumped into. The scanner is efficient. The bed only does a sheet at a time. A feeder system, for larger scanning projects would be a nice option. This also prevent having to clean the glass routinely. Overall a great product for the student at home, family, or small home business. A strong recommendation for those that print frequently and use the other features less often. Sending multiple project to que can cause a lag so coordinate with family members on printing jobs. Quality of the print was good. Try to avoid heavier paper weights as this can cause bending or crimpling in the paper. Card stock or 110 paper is not recommended.

I hated my current printer which was bulky and printed so slowly. I am a teacher who is working remotely. My printing needs have increased dramatically. The HP was so easy to set up. The pages print very quickly and are very clear. I was happy with how I was able to wirelessly connect to my laptop and cell phone for easy printing. The scanning ability works as well as its printing capability. The printer fits comfortably on a small file cabinet and is not too bulky. I definitely recommend this printer/scanner .

Can you print from a smartphone without WiFi?

Hello, Heidi. Thanks for your question. Yes, you can use WiFi Direct. Wireless Direct (WiFi Direct) allows you to directly connect to a printer from a mobile device or computer without the need for internet access or a wireless network. You would connect to the printer’s wireless direct signal just like you would connect to a wireless network. The printer would have a unique name in your wireless connections, i.e. Direct-04-Printer.
