Rated 2 out of 5 by wespac from Just changed from Dell but HP not all that much better custom config pc - i cannot even customize any settings on this pc because the "operating system is not activated" - why does HP not test their loads when they do a custom configuration? otherwise the function and speed of the pc is good. I just started to change from Dell over to HP due to frustration with Dell product and support. Now I already have issues with HP as well... disappointed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by K.B. from Never received my 3 year active care protection despite paying for it I purchased HP 3 Year Active Care Next Business Day Onsite w/Defective Media Retention DT HW Supp and your Order Summary email sent to me said it's been "Delivered" but I NEVER received an email or any other confirmation that I have it. So...I paid for something and never got it. I reached out a number of times asking for status and have been ignored. So...I'm left without protection even though I paid for it. Not very ethical of HP.

Rated 5 out of 5 by NaturePhotoGuy2 from Mighty Mini with Great Value I upgraded to this from an HP gaming machine that I purchased about 8 years ago. This time around I did not need a gaming machine but I did want something that will last 8-10 years and allow me to upgrade and extend the machine as needs arise (disk and memory). I have never been a fan of laptops for all sorts of reasons so I did not want to go that route. The integrated graphics on this 12 gen Intel hardware is so good that for my purposes I will never need a dedicated graphics card. Its my understanding that it will drive up to 4 monitors. I have an ultra wide myself running at a fairly high resolution and it runs that just fine. Everything about the machine is lightning fast. It also runs silently. I cannot hear the fan unless I get very very close to it. The case that it is enclosed in is sturdy metal of some sort. My unit came with the option to use either Windows 10 or 11. Having the option was nice but I went with Win 11 and it runs that very well. The HP Wolf Security software works great on Win11 also. I have not noticed any slow down at all from running the security software. It just does it thing in the background and stays out of the way, as it should be. I love the option to connect internet either with a physical cable or with Wifi. I was also surprised to see that there is a now a feature that lets you spin up a guest hotspot from your computer. Not sure if that is a Windows thing or what but was a pleasant surprise. The compact size frees up workspace. I was able to set it up on my printer rack out of the way but I have seem some people mount these under their desk or even behind their monitor. Lots of great USB connection options. I combined this with a couple small USB hubs for my various devices so I am only using 2 ports for like 8 devices leaving other ports open for more ad-hoc needs. I plan on using this computer for home office work, and also advanced photo editing software which can be RAM intensive but my configuration starts with 32gb and its my understanding this can be upgraded to 128 if needed so should have plenty of room to grow over the years. One additional surprise I had was this this machine has very low power consumption. I was originally trying to use with a smart power strip that cuts power to dependent devices when the PC goes off but this little machine uses so little power that unless you are actively using it the power strip kept thinking that it was turned off. (ha ha) So I just had to use a normal power strip but I thought that was funny in a good way. So yeah love this little machine and I got a great deal on it. Keep it up HP!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by I. J. Fox from Good security, not so good storage. Great---if you don't need to stare anything of any real size on it. I have never purchased a pc that had so little storage space, and for the price tag, it is actually insane. It is my fault for not registering that it has under 500 GB of storage, but that is basically nothing these days. For how much money I spent on this, I am very disappointed. So, be warned.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Shane A from Slow to boot This unit is very slow to boot. My old computer from 6 years ago is faster to boot up. Sometimes it doesn’t boot up and just sits there with the windows flag or Wolf security logo. It might show the flag for an hour or so before I give up. I then have to intervene, turn off power and reboot. In the restart or reboot process it is sometimes hard to tell if it is even doing anything.

My desk is not crowded by it and it easily fits underneath my monitor. It's quite small, which is excellent for my tiny office. It serves my small business needs. The connection was simple and quick. The startup process is quite rapid. It launches any installed program almost immediately. I haven't seen any lagging or slowdown in any of my work in the few weeks I've used it. I’m incredibly impressed with the size and operation of this computer. It’s a great addition to my small business. I highly recommend this computer.

It takes up very little space and is a huge improvement to the large towers I am normal familiar with. It was very easy to set up and the security that comes with it is very strong and relieving. It comes with everything you would need for setup except a monitor. The storage capacity is enough where it doesn’t slow down the system when using different programs. It’s a great edition to my home network.

Rated 5 out of 5 by GG5711 from Small but mighty I have used this computer at home for a few weeks for all my family’s needs and it has held up to every aspect I would expect in a regular computer but it’s a mini. I was skeptical but this small but mighty machine has been such a cool experience. From minimal gaming, to homework, to emails and browsing this PC holds up. It is easy to connect to my monitor and comes with a wired keyboard and wired mouse. The keyboard is slim and has little flaps to elevate the backend of the board for ergonomically support. The mouse is also slim and glides with ease. Everything hooked up easily and setup was quick. It connected to my internet just fine and works just like a regular sized PC. Response time is quick and does not lag. Storage is decent, haven’t ran out of room or needed a backup yet…not even close. My wife uses it for her online small business and is able to wirelessly connect her printers. My kids use it for homework and reading books online and never had any issues. It is a great computer for the whole family and a space saver in the home office.

There are plenty of ports for all of my devices. It's very compact and easy to move wherever I want. I had no problems setting my pc up and it runs smoothly with no issues. The cpu fan sound is very low which is great. The graphics are pretty good with the Integrated: Intel® UHD Graphics 770 card. Rated 5 out of 5 by Peter34 from Small and Zippy I bought this about a month ago as I needed an upgrade from my old desktop as well something much smaller. This checks both boxes. Right out of the box it was easy to set up and had all the ports I needed to get going as soon as I plugged it in. The SSD is speedy with basically no lag time from powering on to booting up. During the day it's my work horse for lots of tabs, multiple spreadsheets, and Adobe running all the same time, absolutely no lag at all. I venture into some PC gaming at night and it's been able to handle everything I throw at it with some room to spare. I would buy this 10 out of 10 times again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bbjniles from Huge power, quiet operation, and tiny footprint! It’s been a half decade or so since I owned an HP computer…not because I wasn’t happy with them as a company, but mostly because I worked in an environment where all the computers had to be of like brand. Even so, all three of my monitors are HP and I absolutely love them, two of which have the built in webcams, and one of which serves as a hub. My point being, I’ve been drawn toward what HP is doing, how they are innovative and creating better ways to get work done efficiently, and pleasantly. That said, when I had the chance to pick up the HP Elite Mini 800 G9 Desktop PC - Wolf Pro Security Edition, I was very, very pleased…and a bit skeptical. As a creative (I work in photography and video editing), I wondered how such a tiny desktop processor would hold up to my previous, large cinderblock sized computers. The conclusion: admirably…and with the size and convenience, this HP offers things a traditional desktop just cannot dream of doing. The HP mini computer came in not such a mini box…I didn’t know it would come with a mouse and keyboard. Everything was well packaged and in perfect condition. And while I’m happy the mouse and keyboard came along for initial set up, they are both pretty basic. Fortunately I have wireless versions of those, so after giving their wired siblings a spin, testing their responsiveness (both good) and construction (both on the light side), I ultimately chose to use my original peripherals. Still, those two things were a bonus…I came for the main course. I’ve included a picture with a standard soda can for reference, but the size is what you would think of if you ever used an external dvd disk drive. Solidly built, with rubber nubs on bottom to prevent slipping, there isn’t much else to this thing besides the power button and inputs, and of those there are plenty. If anything, there seems to be too many display inputs, but if you plan on multiple monitors or mirrored presentations, this is a nice inclusion. There are both types of USB ports as well, a screw to open the processor (I assume), the power brick input (included as well), a headphone jack, and an Ethernet input…that’s all, but that’s plenty. Booting it up is lightening fast, and I upgraded Windows to 11 immediately. There isn’t much to say in terms of functionality, Windows works as it should, and the HP handles it with speed, reliability, and does so almost silently. I did a bit of research about how HP can keep such a tightly housed, powerful computer cool without a noisy fan, and all I can say is there are super smart designers out there that seemingly do the impossible. I’m used to my desktop’s heavy breathing during high processing work, but the HP mini computer handles it like a ninja, silent and invisible. Another thing I absolutely love about this computer is that I can take it with me. At my studio I have a similar set up as at my home office, so having double of my peripherals (a much cheaper solution that having two computers and two sets of softwares) I can move the HP Mini from place to place as I would a laptop. Too, because The HP mini has such a tiny footprint, you can store it anywhere without it looking like a eyesore. Truthfully, my old desktops took up so much space on my workspace I often put them on the floor, where they suck in dust and howl like mad trying to mange the heat under my desk. Not so with the HP. When I first told my son to have a look at it, he couldn’t find it, assuming he was looking for something much larger, even as it was right in front of him, nestled beneath the edge of my monitor. My desktop looks much cleaner and open, leaving more space with which to work and play. The Wolf Pro Security that is built in to the HP saves me another potential headache. I don’t like having to manage and decide on how I’ll handle my internet security, so having Wolf integrated into the system means I have less to worry about straight out of the box, and ever after. The software works seamlessly with Windows, monitoring and assessing risk, and keeping potential attacks at bay. I haven’t had to deal with any malware so far, and I feel safe with Wolf’s cyber security. Because my HP monitors are holding up perfectly after years of use, I anticipate the HP mini computer will become obsolete long before it breaks down physically…but such is the course of most technology. I’m only glad the HP uses quality components so I’m not hindered by shoddy equipment, slowing my workflow and wasting my precious time. Obviously I am a very happy HP user, and this Mini computer is pretty amazing, with big power and possibility, packed in a tiny package. I’ll certainly recommend, and this is only the first of many HP mini computers I plan on owning going forward.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Amit22 from Portable Beast !! HP Elite Mini 800 G9 Desktop PC is a portable but very powerful machine. I have been using it for my personal and office work and am very impressed with this desktop. It also comes with Wolf Pro Security Edition so I don't have to worry about the security at all. Miniature size of the machine is a boon for the office table. Though the machine comes in small size, it has all the important USB, HDMI and Display ports. It also has a RJ45 / Wired LAN connecting option, inbuilt speaker and an audit jack to connect to the wired headsets. I find the speed and performance of the machine is really awesome. It also comes up with a sleek wired keyboard and ergonomically designed wired mouse. You just need to connect with the monitor (thankfully I had an HP monitor) and you are up and running. Configuration is very simple and fast. The good part is, it comes with Windows 10 with an option to upgrade it to Windows 11 which is super easy and looks cool.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mdauer08 from Really nice desktop I wanted a small personal computer to keep in my home office to handle my everyday computer needs such as online searches, finances and documentation. I was really surprised how small the desktop really was. It doesn't take up much room and there's enough device ports for anything I want to connect to. In the few weeks I have used it, I haven't experiences any lagging or slowness to any of my work. I feel like I have enough storage for the documents I need to keep. My son plans to use this for his school work this upcoming school year. While he's not in college yet, I could see something like this being perfect for a dorm room as it doesn't take up much space. I have my monitor sitting on top of it and it's basically the same size as the monitor base. It does come with a thin keyboard and mouse. Both are wired so I will most likely upgrade those to wireless devices. They work fine and seem adequate for everyday use. I just prefer less wires. I'm really happy with this desktop and can see myself and my family using it for the next few years. I'd recommend this desktop to anyone looking for a desktop computer.

It is very easy to set up, basically plug the monitor, keyboard and nouns in and you’re done. It can be easily portable if necessary. It’s fast and powerful and responds well. The wireless stuff works well and is very responsive also. It comes with a keyboard that’s very tactile and I ended up really liking it, as well as a mouse that works well. After all is plugged in, the actual computer setup was very simple. Overall, this is a great computer with a very small footprint that really would fit anywhere! I would highly recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Nika23 from Perfect size with a big punch I have been using my HP Elite mini desktop for the past 2 weeks and This mini pc exceeded my expectations! The miniature size is great for small desks and office spaces but still has the endurance and functions with all capabilities as larger competitors. This pc does not overheat after long hours of use and the eternal fan is fairly quiet. I currently use this pc leisurely as a family computer and the whole family finds it pretty easy to use. I recommend using the keyboard and mouse from the same brand for optimal performance, which it also comes with. I would also highly recommend this pc to anyone who may need to travel often with their pc as the size is perfect to do so.

Thank you for your question! The M.2 slots on this HP Elite Mini 800 G9 Desktop PC will be PCI 5 which is backward compatible with 3 and 4. This will also be RAID compatible. It is not sure what is meant by RAIF so the assumption is that RAIF was a typo and RAID was what was meant.

I am Korean and currently live in the United States. But can I use this product after 2 years in Korea? Korea is 220V, not 110V. I think it will be possible if I buy and use the power adapter itself for 220V when I go to Korea. What do you think?

Asked by: CMYY
There is not a way for us to tell in this case as this unit is designed to work in the US and uses a power adapter that limits the watts to 90w. If it uses a converter or a different type of power adapter, we cannot guarantee that it will have the same watt limit and function correctly or the way it is supposed to.
