HP 972XL Yellow
HP cartridges are high quality. While I love the Pagewide printer features and the professional quality of the printer itself and the pages it prints, the cost of the ink is making me reconsider the purchase. I had eventually wanted to get a 2nd printer for my office and 1 for my home but the cost of ink is just too much. If it weren't for that I'd give this 5 stars and but 2 more printers.

always use original HP ink!
The HP 972X cartridge IS expensive but with the PageWide Pro MFP 477 it seems, as with all of the HP 'XL' cartridges, to last 'forever'. Never had a problem with any HP OEM cartridges.

Does not work in the 377 page wide printer
The site says this is different than the 972a because it prints out more than twice as many pages for less than twice the money. That sounds great but when you place it into the printer, and it fits just fine, the screen says the 972x is not compatible with this printer. So now I am afraid I am stuck with this and another color of the same cartridge. At over $125.00 each I am not happy at all about the lousy description on the site.

Can these cartridges be refilled for a cheaper cost? Or do you need to buy new each time you need to replace?
HP recommends using genuine HP toner and ink cartridges. Refills are not recommended.
