Ink cartridges
As conpared to the cartridges on my broken printer, these are much smaller. I needed a new printer to file income taxes, and searching every loophole and legal deduction, I ended up printing the things several times. The original cartridges started showing low very soon. So I got another set of 4 and a large cartridge for the black, holding the small black as a reserve. The price was also very high. It seems that HP makes more profit from ink sales than on the printer, the prices are almost the same.

New Ink Still Didn't Print
Less the quality of the ink as much as the issues with the printer and functionality of the website. Ended up having to purchase a new printer, different brand, because even with the purchase of new ink, we could not get the printer to print. Word on the street is HP printers become obsolete after after a certain amount of years and can no longer update, communicate or function properly.

received 923 ink incorrect
I ordered the incorrect ink cartridges, I need 936 ink. But I am SO UNHAPPY with HP I plan to sell my new HP officejet pro 9135e BECAUSE I have to use ONLY HP Cartridges. The cost of HP ink is $145.00 versus 936 ink from 3rd party at $45.00 for identical ink. Don't even tell me HP ink is better...NO WAY!

Waste of time and money
I spent over $100 for the specific ink required for my HP printer and bought it directly from HP online. The printer won’t accept it. The screen says it needs HP ink to work. If HP isn’t selling HP ink, I sure don’t know where to get it.

We just got the printer from Best Buy. The cartridges it came with lasted a very, very short time! So, I ordered a new package of all colors and in a very very short time a msg popped up that the cartridge was low. How can that be? A new printer, very low usage, and already time for a replacement pkg?

I purchased the 8120e because I've always used HP products. I probably need professional help because neither I nor any of my friends have had any luck hooking up the new printer to my HP laptop. These wireless printers are just terribly difficult to install. Customer Service spent probably and hour with me on the phone and it didn't work.

This printer is the worst I have ever owned. FIrst it would not take the first batch of ink that I bought off on HP on line. Then you sent me another set. To get them for free I had to join your ink program.
The printer itself times out and shuts off. Then you have to restart it twice before it will finally print. This takes about 5 min and is a waist of time. If I could I would chuck this printer and buy another brand.

I expected a higher quality product if bought directly from HP. I was shocked and disappointed when I went to install the black and yellow cartridges to have them leak ink all over my hands and printer. From now on I’ll buy my replacement cartridges from Amazon because at least with them I can return defective product.

Avoid like the plague
Everything about the company stinks. From the sponges in the ink wells, to the user interface. I worked designing printers for 10 years before my company was acquired by HP. HP was once a proud company with talented engineers. Now it is a shell of itself. I will never buy another HP product again.

I purchased my ink directly from HP so as not to have any issues with the printer cartridges not being “genuine.” I was able to print less than 20 pages before the blue ink ran out. The yellow is almost empty and the black and magenta are less than half full. Ridiculous! Maybe it’s HP’s way of getting you to use their subscription service. I signed up for that and almost a week after I placed my order, I still don’t have ink.

After printing out less than 75 pages, the color cartridges were so low I couldn't print anymore without replacing them! This is unacceptable! All of the pages printed were in black and white only.

HP printer 8130e series complaint
I bought an HP printer 8130e series on October 17, 2025, from Staples. I had to take it back to the store for them to remove Spanish and change it to English. There was supposed to be enough ink in the printer for three months, but I didn't find that the case. So, I ordered a four pack via the HP site and received two packages instead of one and as a result I was charged twice. Eventually I will use it, but only if the printer works. I am able to copy, and the color seems fine, gut I cannot print from my computer, and have it delivered when I want. They sit in the printer and then not from anything I do, they start printing out and one photo I get eight copies on both sides of the page if I don't cancel it. I have always liked HP products but am exasperated with my recent purchase. The order page for ink is not in my estimation user friendly. I got two four packs of ink regardless of the fact that I called and the women assured me one was cancelled. Two months now I am still sitting here without a printer that is fully functionable.

Insta Ink Rip Off
I bought an 8000 series and signed up for a “free “ year of ink to start paying at the end of the year. HP sent me a set of cartridges after 3 months and started charging me 8 dollars per month with no input from me.
