I currently have a HP Pavillion p6-2610 with windows 8.1 : But decided to upgrade to Win 10, but still keep my current PC with 8.1: I decided toI purchase the "HP Slim desktop SO1-pF2625se: Although I haven't set my new desktop up yet, I know I will have no problems. Because HP is the only computer I would use & this is my 3rd desktop. HP customer service is excellent. The HP On Line Store answered my questions prior to my purchase. & as usual I give HP 5 stars.

I like the speed of the computer but I'm frustrated with the operating system. After having used Windows Vista and Windows 7 I find it difficult to get used to the gathering of data and having to login every time I your total I will utilize a different program. But as far as the computer is concerned it is compact and I like it very much.

I dislike and find Edge, Cortana, Bing, unhelpful and distracting. Now HPSearch has taken over, and I can't even got it off the screen. I need help immediately.

I think the HP 3 year Protection Plan is a good deal, as hopefully I won't need it and will be refunded the cost of the Plan, after the 3 year period. If I do need it, the cost of the plan should outweigh what the cost to repair the PC would have been.

HP cancelled the order for some reason, so my son called and was told they would cancel the warranty as well. They refunded the cost of the computer but not the warranty. And they keep sending me these emails to tell them how much I am enjoying their product!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Mijtla from Got the runaround I purchased a HP SLIMLINE DESKTOP 290-a0045m on line on 9/5/2019. At first use I had trouble logging on the computer. On 9/23/2019 I called Technical Support and worked with a technician. He said we are all set to go and closed out the trouble Case 5037530530.He suggested that I should by a HP Care Pack that would cover my computer for 3 years.I purchased the Care Pack on 9/29/2019 The next day I still had the problem. On 10/01/2019 I again called Technical Support Case 5037942214 and this time the technician made some more extensive testing and said she would wait a day and call me to see if everything was working to my satisfaction. It was not. She said that she would transfer me to another group that could help me. This group told me that the Care Pack I purchased only covered hardware and that I would have to purchase additional coverage for software. I again was transferred to the HP Smart Friend people. I spoke with a technician named Erick and he was extremely helpful. He worked with me for several hours and fixed the problem. Waited to the following day to make sure everything was working properly and it was.
