Well" I don't see how I can lose on the ADP offer. It is there if I need it and if I don't HP Will refund it. I like the thought of having the protection but being refunded if not used is a rare deal.

Care Pack support not easy.
Care Pack support was difficult to deal with. the chat person was not helpful, she gave me what was supposed the direct number to support which of course was just a general automated helpline. I got transferred ok to support and they have supposedly now given me the direct number. I still did not get my issue resolved but they at least gave me something to try.

Get you specs in writing from the sales rep before ordering, you might be sending it back. I did.
Pointless to have a 3 yr accidental damage on a device that does not come with the specs that were in writing by the sales rep. Send the computer back the very next day.

Excellent service!
One day my son called me at work sounding distressed and said he accidentally cracked his laptop screen. I told him to call The HP Care Pack number and they had overnighted a box for us to ship the laptop to their repair center. They repaired the screen we had the laptop back a week later. HP provided such exceptional service such that I buy the HP Care Pack with all the laptops I buy now!

On hp sites I do not show my extended warrentee. The site should show I have extended warenntee . I worry if I ever need to use it hp will not have record.

Worth every penny ... and then some!
I have purchased Care Packs over the last 20 years for the 8 PCs and 4 printers I have had during that period. I needed hardware repair twice in all those years and in both instances the service was fast, expertly done, and no out of pocket cost to me. More importantly, I have needed help from Tech Support on numerous occasions for many varied reasons. Every time, they came through and helped me resolve my problem. Having someone to call and get instant help is assuring and what has made me a loyal HP customer. I wouldn't even think of buying a PC without the HP Care Pack.

No way to manually apply
When you spend hundreds on a warranty you expect to be able to manually apply that warranty licensing to your system/HP account. No such luck with the HP system, since you receive an email that specifically says "Most Care Pack orders from our store are now automatically registered. Within two to three weeks of purchase..." and you are given no means to even validate through the HP warranty portal. Additionally, the HP SupportAssist application will still hound you to purchase additional warranty coverage because of this lack of warranty application. This is a terrible user experience that needs revamped in order to meet some basic expectations of 'I spent hundreds and want to see that my warranty is applied and active.'

Worst support I ever had. All people were from India and treated me like dirt and was transferred over eight times to different support representatives. I was even threatened by one that she would disconnect me if I did not treat her with more resect.....

LOVE IT!
I needed a new laptop but kept putting it off. But I got the dreaded blue screen about a month ago and knew my time was short so I pulled the lever! Very helpful Customer Service Specialist helped me select the model and features I wanted (and needed). She was patient and made sure to explain in detail along the way. VERY HAPPY with my laptop!

We ordered the HP, and the accidental damage plan. The 3 years starts ticking based on order date even though the product won't be received for 6-8 weeks, maybe longer. Not cool, HP.
