Care Pack support was difficult to deal with. the chat person was not helpful, she gave me what was supposed the direct number to support which of course was just a general automated helpline. I got transferred ok to support and they have supposedly now given me the direct number. I still did not get my issue resolved but they at least gave me something to try.

Pointless to have a 3 yr accidental damage on a device that does not come with the specs that were in writing by the sales rep. Send the computer back the very next day.

I told him to call The HP Care Pack number and they had overnighted a box for us to ship the laptop to their repair center. They repaired the screen we had the laptop back a week later. HP provided such exceptional service such that I buy the HP Care Pack with all the laptops I buy now!

I needed hardware repair twice in all those years and in both instances the service was fast, expertly done, and no out of pocket cost to me. More importantly, I have needed help from Tech Support on numerous occasions for many varied reasons. Every time, they came through and helped me resolve my problem. Having someone to call and get instant help is assuring and what has made me a loyal HP customer. I wouldn't even think of buying a PC without the HP Care Pack.

No such luck with the HP system, since you receive an email that specifically says "Most Care Pack orders from our store are now automatically registered. Within two to three weeks of purchase..." and you are given no means to even validate through the HP warranty portal. Additionally, the HP SupportAssist application will still hound you to purchase additional warranty coverage because of this lack of warranty application. This is a terrible user experience that needs revamped in order to meet some basic expectations of 'I spent hundreds and want to see that my warranty is applied and active.'
