We have a trailer and are retired and love to take off for months at a time. This is my 7th HP computer and I have always purchased the damage included extended warranty. Unfortunately I have used it only once, but was well worth the cost multiple times over! They have always been polite and taken care of my needs.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Gary-in-Texas from Fantastic Care Pack support, Terrible Care Pack Registration! I just purchased my 4th HP laptop. My last three machines have been HP Envy 17" laptops. With my 2018 HP Envy, no Care Pack registration card was included. I had to hunt for a Care Pack number to call and register that laptop. With my 2023 HP laptop, again no registration card was included. This time I tried to use HP Smart Friends to get the Care Pack registered. Unfortunately, HP had messed up my 2023 HP Envy's product number (I am not sure what the error is, but there are multiple machines with my product id and serial number). Supposedly, the Care Pack was to appear in the HP Support Assistant, which now says my warranty expired in 2016!!! I obtained the Care Pack telephone number from HP SmartFriend and called. Instead of reaching an American at the HP Corvallis, OR, office, my call was handled overseas (my guess, due to the accent). The agent confirmed the problem was HP's error. He said he would escalate the issue. I was to wait a week and then call back. Note, when HP makes an error, HP feels no obligation to get back to the customer. So, as of today, I have no Care Pack coverage even though I paid for it. Hence, the two-star rating. As for the actual service, my prior experiences are all five-star experiences. The repair facility is in the greater Dallas area, and the repair has been fast. Issues fixed in the past were a bad laptop screen, and a keyboard that broke. I highly recommend the Care Pack. The two-star rating reflects the poor registration process on activating the Care Pack. HP makes fantastic laptops. Their Care Pack service is outstanding. Now they need to focus on how they deliver and register the HP Care Packs they sell.

Everything is brand new and I won’t know if this was a good purchase or not until something goes wrong. Kind of like car insurance…….. you don’t know how good it is until you need it. I “assumed” the HP CARE PACKAGE covered my entire purchase but from what I heard, it may have only covered the laptop and not the extra monitor or DVD burner I also purchased. I wish the information on the HPCare package explained better what is covered!!

I purchased this care package as an extended warranty due to my HP Pavilion x360 having issues and needed to be serviced. I registered my laptop with the product and serial number, and when doing so, it gave me a list of various care packages that I could purchase for my specific laptop. After purchasing, I registered my care package to my laptop and waited 2 weeks with no communication or response from “customer service” which is a complete joke. I called today only to be told that the care package I purchased isn’t compatible with my laptop although on the website it advised me is was. So of course I got a refund after waiting for nothing and now I’m down a laptop. If I hadn’t called, HP would have just gladly held on to my money. What a disappointment. Never buying a HP laptop or products again. Don’t waste your time.

I am not hard on these laptops, they never leave my sofa, never been dropped, never had anything spilled on them. I've had to have my laptop repaired for various reasons from keyboard screen hinges, and modem problems, over 8 times in the past 6 years. They have now replaced my laptop 3 times using the service packs.

Hello! I am currently under warranty, however, it expires 07/07/2023. I want to extend my coverage, but I am confused. does the coverge begin the day I purchase the protection?

If I were to buy this plan, would my new pc be able to be repaired if, for instance, I were to accidentally scratch the screen? If it's still technically functioning, would that disqualify it from being repaired?
