I am quite happy with my purchase. I was looking for a laptop that would be good for school. I did not want it to be touchscreen and I wanted it to have a backlit keyboard with big lettered keys. This had all that. I read reviews before purchasing so although I purchased the gold color I knew it most likely would not be a prominent gold. It does look more silver so I wouldnt recommend purchasing if the gold color is a must for you. It has a nice tint that in certain lights shows like a goldish glow, but that is what I wanted. I havent used it too much, but I did watch some videos on it and felt the volume was a little lower than I expected. Even at high volume it wasnt super loud. The weight is very light, so that is a plus! The screen is nice in proportionate to the monitor. I like that it doesnt have a big border around the screen. I also like how the keyboard expands across the whole width of the laptop base. I fully charged it and I used it for like 6hrs before it died. So that is my experience with battery life. Like I mentioned earlier, I was looking for something for school, I wanted simple and with the computer able to download the programs I needed, chromebooks and the like wouldnt work, but this did, so it works for me! Very satesfied.

3 years? Are you sure?
I registered my new laptop and it said the warranty was for 13 months. I was told 3 years. I was told that if I don't use it, I get the money back so if that is still true, I still can't lose. To be fair I didn't talk to anyone about it, and anyone can make a mistake. A little disappointed.

Suits my needs: I’m a temp worker, so I’m not able to have a job-provided device like full-time employees, and I wanted a Chromebook of my own so I could learn how to use ChromeOS and get used to it. The speakers sound really good for a mid-range device, and the plastics doesn’t feel cheap or creaky.

Worst Service ever
I bought this computer online and ordered the touchscreen model. When it showed up, the touchscreen did not work... long story short, it wasn't a touch screen. I spent 2.5 hours on a chat session and they finally figured out it really wasn't a touchscreen. Then the sales rep wouldn't do an even exchange and tried to sell me a higher priced one. I had waited over 2 weeks for this model to be custom built...and was looking at another 2+ weeks. I said no thanks and this is my goodbye to HP. I am done wasting my time with them and their poor quality service.

Fantastic Care Package
I am amazed how inexpensive the Care Pack is considering all you receive. It not only gives me the peace of mind knowing that for the next three years I can call and get Teck Support, as I did Saturday they helped me set it up and explain how to do things on it I didn't know it did, to the fact if something goes wrong with it they will fix it even if its dropped and is damaged . I have , in the past always bought my Computer and it's extended warranty at Best Buy . They all where HP Computers and there Geek squad the thing is I paid a whole lot more than what I've done now directly from the HP Store.
