We have two days-old laptops that I can't set up because of an error code, and I was told by an exceptionally rude HP technician that we'd have to pay to get the code corrected. We buy a lot of laptops for our business, but I'll never buy another anything from HP again.

The USB ports were too small, and the screen had a gray cast. Now I have to pay a restocking fee to return a laptop that won't work correctly. There is something wrong with this picture... I can't comment on the care pack, because It will be canceled once my return is processed. I am so disappointed.

My only problem is that I prefer Google over Microsoft, but this computer is set up to accept Microsoft only. When I tried to manually load my Google account, Microsoft interjected with controls over Google that were intrusive, and compromised my contacts list. I thought the browser choice would have been mine but I guess not. I have an old HP computer that I can dedicate to Google, but I shouldn't have to do that.

So the question is, are the confident you won't use it and will be happy to get your money back, building loyalty, or are they confident you will need it because they don't make a good product. I don't know how it will play out but I have been very happy with a previous HP laptop and have abandoned DELL after 20 years of buying Dells because when I did need support HP WAS GREAT and DELL stunk.

I tried to mediately correct it but your support manager told me their only way is to cancel the order and then re-order it. So we did that. But you canceled laptop but you did not cancel the service plan. And now I’m told you won’t refund my money. So you’re keeping my $113 although no services were rendered and no product was delivered. I would love for someone to contact me on this and explain

I am still waiting as I am never happy wit having to call and being transferred 10 times and dropped 4 to resolve an issue THAT SHOULD NEVER HAPPERN...

My last HP laptop did not have this as an issue. I just got the laptop on Monday and it is now Thursday and I have noticed my computer is freezing up.

Not only do I have to wait exactly one month for the laptop to get shipped but I also have to wait what ever time it will take to get delivered. I asked the representative helping me online if the protection plan will start until I receive the laptop and he confirmed that the 3 year protection plan will not start until after the laptop is shipped. However, I received an email stating the protection plan begins on the date of purchase. I don't agree with this because how is it possible that I am paying for a service (protection plan) for an entire month when I do not even have the purchased item (laptop) in hand and I am not even using it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Splatman from 3 years of full coverage with a rebate if not used I debated on the care pack for this purchase as I buy nothing but HP laptops and have never had an issue that wasn't solved by a chat or email. From an insurance point of view, you pay for covering expecting a failure and the vendor provides coverage expecting you won't. What sold me on this 3 year care pack was it is at least 2 years more than the warranty, but, if I have no service issues above a chat or email, I get my care pack cost back at the end of the coverage period. No brainer. Get the care pack and get a rebate later. If nothing else, I have 3 years of coverage in case of failure and I have nothing to lose. HP has a great program here and is looking out for their customers on this one!

We went the laptop HP since I purchased the Care Pack. The Care Pack specifically states the turn around is 7 days to get fixed. HP received the laptop 12/19, today is 1/5 and I still do not have the laptop back and no one from HP emails or calls back. I paid $900 for the laptop and I have no laptop. My son starts college classes tomorrow 1/6. How is he supposed to do on-line learning without the laptop? If it can't be fixed then send a new one! This is unacceptable and unprofessional.

HP has not yet disappointed me in any regard ... if there's an issue of any kind, they are quick to keep their customers please with their purchase. A protection plan for a new product is an excellent option - I've already had to use it - like I said, "peace of mind" ... trust HP!

I operate a home based E-Commerce business and needed a computer that would efficiently allow me to process and research a lot of data in a short period of time.
