However, if you are trying to get your self acquainted with new equipment, it does not provide the assistance one anticipates unless you pay for a different type of plan. Disappointing and time consuming to find out the different pieces.

During the day, a lot of the time, I have to turn the back light off as I can't see the keyboard letters. There wasn't any explanation of most of the F keys. They are not intuitive. Your quick start cheat sheet did not include all of the F keys.

I would certainly like to have your product for two seconds before I receive such a communication. Was it to remind me that your product hasn't arrived yet? One of the reason I buy from HP is my father was friends with Bill and Dave and knew them in the seventies. I'm sure how they'd feel about their old company pandering for good reviews for product with monetary prizes and asking for product reviews before you actual ship the product. I will be happy to redo this review once I get the laptop. But I think the company should review requests likes this, as they appear like one hand is not talking to the other.

Hopefully, HP has fixed the fan issue that has occurred in many laptop models. The SSD, DVD Writer, RAM, Display, Keyboard, and Wi-Fi are working as expected and I would recommend this laptop to others at this early point.

To date I have not been contacted by HP, even though I disputed the 2 year warranty. My 3 year plan has not been added. I beginning to regret having trusted the website deals.

Particularly difficult if not using in high sunlight. While I expect that the cut-in design of lettering will eliminate future need for replacement as with painted letters, the lack of contrast is very annoying.

However, I have received notifications on my new laptop, that my warranty will expire in November of 2021 and that I should purchase the extended warranty. I have not received instructions how to activate the 3 year protection plan that I purchased.

I hope my plan will not go into effect until after I receive my computer. If it is in effect I will have to rate it a 1 and not recommend anyone purchase the plan until he/she receive their computer.

I have to hold the start button down to shut it off then start it up again. It takes a long time and several clicks to get Chrome to start up and open. My ACER was much better than this for most of the 8 years I had it.

The unit could not be set up by either myself or the HP technical team. They even tried to reload Windows 10 but were unable to do so. The unit was useless. I had to return it for a refund, including the 3-year warranty.
