Rated 4 out of 5 by Mr. Juan from Damage Protection It's great that HP offers different packs for damage protection, and that's the reason why I'm giving it a 4-star rating; however, I don't think it's fair to rate something that has not been used yet. From my experience with other companies and electronics, I have been "that guy" with an issue that's not covered. Again, great that it's offered but hopefully I won't have a need for it in the next couple of years.

It was left on my porch during an ice storm at night. The box was soaking wet. We were home all day and did not hear anybody knocking on the door. Luckily the computer was wrapped in plastic and did not suffer any damage.

I initially completed the setup of windows and input the basic information. Once I finished that she was then able to take over and do all her required school work without issues. She loves the touchscreen feature along with the sound the device produces.

The only complaint I have is that the 2 USB ports are too close together. If using a plug-in mouse, there is no room to plug in another USB device.

Judging by the reviews on the HP Pavilion, I was stoked to receive it in the mail. However, from the time I booted it up the first time this computer has done nothing but malfunction. It shut itself off and repeatedly entered a restart loop upon installing my first software program (SPSS statistical software). After a hard reset, I tried again to install Office. Blue screen of death over and over. When that was finally resolved, I thought I’d give it a chance and took it to class, where it continued to freeze/heat up and force me to power down/restart. But that’s not even the worst part! The worst part was HP’s horrid customer service, who continually told me different stories from agent to agent. Some told me I would need to PAY them to support me (and my new laptop??), some told me it wasn’t possible to process a return. Finally I got them to take this junky machine back thank Moses. I’ll never purchase an HP laptop ever again after this fiasco saga.
