Apparently even the warranty means nothing on a month-old machine. It will be returned, and I will be refunded the extended care pack, as it is useless. Beware all thing HP.

What does HP Care Pack actually service, if I had to pay for additional services?

From past experience in dealing with ACER computers. How long before a rep. picks up the phone? How long for tech support? Do you provide a direct line into a case worker with little or no waiting? If a computer breaks human to human is a must!

Is the Care Pack a true warranty extension -- all coverage in the original warranty over a longer time? The description never says it is. Instead it talks about accidental damage coverage, which is much less.

Does this two year warranty extend after the one year warranty or is it really a one year warranty because it overlaps the standard warranty? Does the special code HPSA33 take off of the price shown or is $167.99 the final cost of the warranty?

The coverage begins the day of the PC purchase. This Care Pack includes accidental damage for 2-years, the normal HP warranty does not include accidental damage.

No, this HP 2-year Accidental Damage Protection Plus 3-day Onsite Desktop Service will start the day the laptop was purchased. This Service must be purchased during the HP Original Warranty period.
