Bad customer service.
I ordered 2 of the exact same monitor. One of the box was missing 2 parts and HP was not able to replace them. They were wanting me to return the monitor and replace it. i was told the other option was to purchase the part.
The other major disappointment was the refusal to answer a question about the brand new monitor not working properly. HP wanted to force me to purchase a support contract. The contract was almost as much as the monitor.

How do I connect sound to the 31.5 HP monitor
Thank you for your question! The HP Series 5 31.5 inch FHD Monitor does not have direct audio capabilities. Sound will be provided by your PC. If this monitor is used with a gaming console, a compatible headset to the gaming console would be required for sound.
