Rated 5 out of 5 by from good headset that sounds great with music too [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] One of the first things I do with any new headset is listen to a few tracks from my music library. For me, this really reveals a lot about how deep & rich the sound quality is as well as being able to quietly rock some tunes at my desk. The headphones passed that test with flying colors. The boom mic works well (retracts perfectly) and the little control switch on the cord is big enough to grasp, but I wish they would have added some color to the function buttons. It’s nothing a little memorization won’t fix, but having white inlay would have been a nice touch. As long as you know where call and mute are you’re fine. Volume up/down work well too with my iMac’s sound. I also always ask someone if they can hear me ok, you know, do I sound like I’m in a Zoom can. No, according to a client I sounded great. Again, we're getting used to Zoom calls and the mic mute button is good to have on the switch. The noise canceling option works great too (which I really love). While there is a mid & high range setting, I found that high works best – after all, you’re trying to cancel the noise around you, right? This is something that is often lacking on other office headsets. Other things; I was worried that the cord would make noise but that wasn’t the case. I will say that I was pleasantly surprised with overall audio quality. They also sit comfortably on your head thanks to a firm but soft little pad along the top. Some headsets forget this but Poly has been good about including these. Overall, this a good quality headset that you can multitask with and not get tired of wearing - even when the call is over.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product for desk teleconference! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I end up sitting at a desk for 8 hours a day and on teleconferences for a good part of my day. The audio quality is great. At first I was a bit hesitant about on the ear and a wired headset. But with the audio control for volume, mute and answer without having to do it on the computer makes it very convenient and quick. The headset it sits comfortably on my head without any issues and it doesn't shift as I am moving my head around either, being light weight also helps too. Windows had no issues detecting the headset after I plugged it in. Within seconds it was ready to use. Also, it comes with a nice little bag to put the headset into once you are done with it. The ear pads that rest on your ears are easy to clean, simply just use a wet wipe and it's clean for the next time to keep things sanitized in todays day and age! The little pamphlet of directions it comes with (yes I read the directions!) that it comes with has a listed site to download some software, but you really do not need it but it does allow you to fine tune certain settings.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect headset for a noisy office environment. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent microphone, effective ANC, comfortable enough for all day wearing. I use MS Teams all day long and have returned to work where I share an office with a colleague. This headset has made it possible for us both to be on calls without disturbing each other too much. I am able to hear perfectly. The online controls work as expected.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Headset This headset is great for quick call or those hour long calls. They are very comfortable and travel well. Having the mute and volume buttons closer to you is great so you don't have to mess with mute and volume on Teams. I primarily use these with Teams and they've worked without fault.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great headset, one issue I love this headset, it works and sounds great. It fits comfortably for hours at a time. It has helped me hear better and my voice quality reports have consistently been excellent. My only complaint is there is no easy way to disconnect the headphones while wearing them for those times I need to briefly walk away from the phone. I’ve had other sets that do this and I really miss the option.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good but has some issues I am coming from a 3-year-old 5220, and here are the differences I note: 1) The photo is WRONG. The mic is on the RIGHT not the left, which for me is frustrating since I prefer it on the left. I am currently wearing it "backwards" (so the earpiece labeled "R" is on my left ear) but it should be shown correctly. 2) The cord from the headset to the mic control is shorter than the 5220 which is a bummer 3) The mute/unmute button takes about 1/4 to 1/2 second to take effect, unlike the 5220 which is instantaneous. This diminishes the value. For new features, the noise-canceling is pretty good and helpful. People note that my voice sounds clearer with less background noise.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Headset I have been using these for about a week or so and really like them. My husband works nights and snores loudly while I am working. I haven’t had anyone on calls mention background noise. I gave it 4/5 because they fit a little too snug.and puts pressure on my ears. I wear glasses so that may be part of the issue. So, I have to take them off throughout my 8 hour shift. My old headset didn’t put so much pressure on my ears and didn’t have an issue with them on the entire shift.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Call quality at home, road, or office. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The headset is very comfortable. The boom adjustments are smooth, but could use a little more maneuverability because you can not bring it closer to your face. This is probably so you dont have it too close and compromise the sound fence. The boom does rotate so you can use it on either side though. The best feature is the sound fence. OMG! It will keep any background noise out of your conversations. The inline switch will remove noise in your ears so you can hear better, but doesnt seem to affect the other persons experience. You can also use this on multiple pieces of equipment. Not only can you use it on your computer, but you can buy an adapter and use it with your cell phone as well. It beats any Bluetooth for call quality. The adjustments of the ears is nice as well. It rest on the top of your head and sits over, not on your ears when adjusted correctly. And when you take it off the ears rotate and lay flat so the cushions won't get marked up on the edges. After wearing it for a few hours you won't be trying to adjust it so it will be comfortable. Just set it and forget it. People will think they are the only one in your world even when youre busy doing other things. I am impressed with the technology in this little thing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 1st time headset owner [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the first headset that I've ever owned and with that said, I am pleased with it. There are some areas where I feel it needs improvements but overall, this is a good headset for those who need a good headset that won't break the bank. Here's what I like about the headset: -Great noise canceling -Very comfortable over the ears -Feels like it's made with primium materials -Good clarity from the microphone Here's a few items that I feel needs work: -The cable isn't as flexible as I would like it to be -The bottons could be more touch sensitive rather than me pressing hard on them to function

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great headset for the office [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This headset has worked great for virtual meetings on Zoom, Teams, and others. It fits very comfortably, so you can wear it for long periods without any sore ears or headaches. The ear pieces and headband both have good padding. The ear pieces sit properly and they don't block out all outside noise so you're not completely isolated from the office. Sound quality is great, they're perfect for online meetings. Works very well when you want to listen to music or a video as well. The microphone quality is very good according to the people on the other end of my calls. The included case is a nice extra touch to keep things from getting damaged or dirty in my desk drawers.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for businesses and work calls [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In the world of remote work, business meetings, and conference calls, the Blackwire 8225 is a great headset for business and work calls. Its comfortable design and lightweight build makes long-time use of the Blackwire a headset that can last in Zoom conversations and Google Meets for hours on end. The convenient mute and volume control on the Blackwire makes it quick and easy to control the way you speak. The length of the chord also gives you the ability to move around while still being plugged in When we talk about the quality of the microphone, you get what you pay for with the Blackwire 8225. As a voice-over actor, I was really surprised with how the USB drivers on the Blackwire gave such an amazing high-quality audio recording with crisp words and clear voices. The flexible microphone allows you to easily move it out of the way for use as a normal headset. There isn't much else to say besides that this microphone's quality is comparable to a low-quality studio microphone with the addition of headphones. If you're someone who is usually in calls and meetings with clients and don't want a stand-alone microphone, choose the Blackwire 8225.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not for mobiles. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This review is specifically for the version that ends in USB 2.0. If you want to use these headphones with any mobile device, I suggest the version that ends in USB-C. I don't do much calling from my laptop, most of my calling is from my phone still. My phone came with a USB to USB-c adapter that I have used for other USB headphones with mics from Plantronics. These though would not work. The headphone portion worked great, you could listen to music, watch videos, and hear the other person on the other line. However, the mic never worked. I tried a myriad of options including firmware updates, but could not get them to work. Now, for what actually did work. The headphone portion. The fit and weight are great, they feel nice on the head, a pair I could wear for hours if needed. The on-top-of-the ear style makes it so that your ears don't get too fatigued too fast. These headphones have the best noise cancelling I have ever had from on-the-ear headphones. The different levels allows you to "keep an ear out' if you need to while still blocking out most ambient sounds.
