Rated 1 out of 5 by babacole from I recently purchased an HP laptop from the HP store late November 2022, and I am extremely disappointed with its performance and the company's customer service. Despite being relatively brand new, the computer frequently hangs up, doesn't load properly, and has even crashed multiple times. Each crash results in a loss of all my work, leading to immense frustration and wasted hours. Attempting to get support has been a nightmare in itself. I've reached out to HP's customer service, case number 5110965038, only to be bounced around from one representative to another. It's disheartening to see a lack of ownership and accountability on their end. Instead of a solution or even a clear answer, I've been subjected to endless transfers and repeated explanations. I have been a loyal HP customer, having purchased six computers from them over the years. However, this recent experience has shattered my trust in the brand. I expected a level of quality and service commensurate with HP's reputation and my past experiences, but I've been sorely let down. This will, unfortunately, be my last HP purchase. Potential buyers, I urge you to consider my experience and think twice before investing in an HP laptop.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Jay90211 from Meets the Minimum Requirements for Daily Use as a Student Purchased about 8 months ago. Has an issue almost every other week where it'll just freeze randomly, so you have to keep restarting. Gets tiring, especially since it'll happen in the middle of the day as I am working on an assignment. Since I've already set it up and it'd been about 2-3 months into use when it first started, I could not return it. Tech support helped a little bit, but they just made the freezing occur less frequently instead of not at all. After about 4 calls, sometimes you just have to give up. Battery lasts roughly 3 hours after unplugging. I primarily use this as a desktop I can put put away, so it was not a complete dealbreaker for me. That being said, I'm pretty sure using it while it's charging will just worsen the battery, but I have no other choice really. Key features for me were the larger screen size, numeric keypad, and decent speaker, so it technically checks the boxes as far what I am looking for. The backlit keyboard turns off within seconds of disuse which can be annoying while typing. The fingerprint reader is finnicky and particular, so I have to put in my PIN when I log in anyway which kind of defeats the point. Fan kicks in, quite loudly, easily within an hour of use. The most I'm probably doing is having two tabs open side-by-side with a Google Doc and a reference article. It can get pretty hot. I use a laptop stand so it's easy to feel if I pass my hand underneath. I wish the camera shutter was physical, rather than mechanical, as it'll randomly just undo itself, which can be concerning. Touchscreen is okay, bit of an added bonus I'm not sure what to do with, but it can be nice to have on occasion. Overall not the worst product. Even moving forward from a school-issued Chromebook, this still falls a bit short somehow. Less than a full year into use, I am neutral of the overall experience. It's pretty meh. For what this costs, I can guarantee there are a plethora of better options out there.

I am trying to find these answers. Overall, though, I like the machine. Windows 11 is a bit strange though.

Of course I chose a reliable brand, HP, and I’m definitely not disappointed. My new laptop works with excellent speed, the graphics are amazing. My online meetings are very clear with superb video performance and sound. I’m very pleased with my purchase.
