HP ink and toner are both brilliant materials for creating stunning prints, but each is best suited for a different purpose. Standard ink printers drop ink onto the paper in horizontal motions. Laser printers, on the other hand, use a laser to outline an image on an electromagnetic canvas.

HP toner is designed to be electromagnetically drawn to the trace, and then it’s fused to the paper. It’s a more intricate printing process, and the result is that you get more accurate lines and very sharp details.

The laser printing process enables you to print images very quickly. While ink can only be placed one drop at a time for each nozzle, toner can be dispersed in wider portions because of how easily it links to the electromagnetic outline. As a result, mid-range laser printers can print dozens of pages in a single minute.

The laser printing process also reduces the probability of printing errors. Ink droplets may accidentally be dispersed too quickly. The horizontal motion of ink printer nozzles is accurate, but also more prone to error than the seamless “rolling” technique of a laser printer. When you’re printing a large number of documents or images, HP 130A toner is more reliable page for page than ink.
