Public Notice for HP websites

Following HP’s acquisition of Samsung’s global printing business, HP and its affiliates have received or will receive certain customer and partner personal data from Samsung’s printing operations. This allows HP to continue to provide basic warranty and extended support and service continuity to Samsung customers and to continue business relations with Samsung’s trusted business partners.

HP recognizes the fundamental importance of privacy, security and data protection of all our customers and partners worldwide. This notice sets out information for Samsung customers and partners about how HP will use their personal data going forward.

In connection with the acquisition, HP has/will obtain the following types of personal data:

Customer Data

• Case history: Notes from Samsung call centers and history of support/repairs by Samsung authorized service centers;
• Model, Serial No., Date of purchase, issue description, repair description;
• Service package information: Certification No., Package code, dealer code & name, model, serial no., register date, purchase
• Date, warranty start date, warranty end date

Partner Data:

• Name, contact details, job title

HP will continue to use this personal data in a similar way to Samsung. Namely to provide basic warranty coverage, and extended support and service continuity and to assess, analyze and improve our markets, customers, products and services and to carry on business relations with Samsung’s business partners.
