HP Opens Sales Center in Boise, Idaho, for Online Store, company's online consumer store, recruiting more employees
BOISE, Idaho, July 14, 2005

HP today officially opened the doors to its new sales center in Boise, Idaho, for, the company's online consumer-shopping subsidiary. expects to staff the sales center with more than 200 employees and will continue to recruit employees over the next several months.

Lee Ray Massey, senior vice president of the Imaging and Printing Group - Americas at HP, and Idaho Governor Dirk Kempthorne are officiating a ribbon-cutting ceremony today at the new facility.

The sales center will serve's U.S. consumers and will be staffed by salespeople focused on providing the best customer experience by delivering useful information on HP products and guiding buyers through the purchasing process.

Expanding the sales center operations comes at a vital time as has experienced significant year-over-year growth and increased customer demand. The Boise sales center accommodates this growth and enables HP to continue to provide its award-winning customer service.

Inside the sales center, "The Shoppe" and the "Wall of Inventors" are indicative of the customer-driven culture at The Shoppe is a demo area that allows employees to experience how HP products are used in real-life settings such as a home office or student's dorm room.
