Snapfish by HP Encourages Consumers to “Save Summer”

Summer promotions help people save memories and money

Snapfish by HP, the No. 1 online photo service, today kicked off its “Save Summer” programs with a variety of fun and creative photo activities, product discounts and consumer contests.

The programs encourage families to enjoy the simple joys of summer by giving them creative ideas for capturing special summer moments.

The promotions offer Snapfish customers exclusive discounts as well as the opportunity to win Snapfish merchandise by submitting photos of their favorite summer memories, such as cookouts, reunions and road trips.

“We know this summer has been tough for a lot of families, and we wanted to remind people they don’t need a lavish vacation to have a great summer,” said Ben Nelson, worldwide manager, Snapfish by HP. “Great summers are about cookouts, ice cream cones and climbing trees, and we want to help customers celebrate what summer means to them in a uniquely fun and affordable way.”

The Snapfish “Save Summer” contests include:

  • Family Gatherings Contest (June 25 - Sept. 1) – Users can enter photos of their favorite summer family gatherings, such as reunions, barbecues or beach trips, in exchange for Snapfish prizes, including photo mugs, canvases, tote bags and flipbooks.
  • Summer Food Photo Contest (July 29 - Sept. 1) – Users have an opportunity to submit photos based on the food that most represents summer to them. Winners will receive special Snapfish prizes, including Snapfish custom books.
  • Snapfish Summer Photo Adventure (July 15 - Aug. 31) – Snapfish has partnered with LeapFrog to create an educational digital photograph journey with a variety of free, fun activities for children and parents to enjoy together. As part of each activity, consumers are encouraged to take photos related to a particular theme and upload them to a scavenger hunt map. Themes include ”coastal adventures,” ”camping & outdoors,” ”theme parks” and ”fun & games around the house.” When each challenge is complete, participants will earn 50 percent off a collage poster. Participants who complete all four challenges will earn a free 5 x 7-inch photobook. Participants also can enter a photo from each theme into a photo contest to win additional LeapFrog and Snapfish prizes.

With more than 100 customizable, high-quality projects and gifts to choose from, Snapfish customers can do more with their photos any time of year. With Snapfish’s 9-cent everyday price on photos, free online photo sharing and free photo editing tools and software, customers are able to save and share their memories without unexpected costs.
