HP Autonomy Now Protecting Critical Data for More Than 60,000 Customers

HP Autonomy data protection business passes major milestone

PALO ALTO, Calif. — HP Autonomy today announced that more than 60,000 customers worldwide are now using HP Data Protector, HP LiveVault and HP Connected Backup to safeguard their mission-critical data and achieve assured business continuity.

HP Autonomy’s data protection solutions are being used to secure the vital data of organizations of all sizes and from every industry, including Blueshore Financial, Boston College, DreamWorks Animation, Jamestown Properties, Mitel, National Airways Corporation, Spar, Telefonica, UPS and Verifone.

HP Autonomy offers a comprehensive range of solutions to help companies meet their data protection needs and requirements, including:

  • HP Connected Backup provides secure and reliable protection of end-point data, automatically backing up data seamlessly while users work. The product provides encrypted remote access to stored data, allowing users to securely access their documents from mobile devices. This allows companies to cater to employee mobility in a world where there is increasing demand to support “bring your own device” working practices, while still keeping full governance of their data.
  • HP LiveVault protects critical application data across virtual and physical environments, manages long-term retention needs, and improves disaster recovery readiness—in the cloud or via a hybrid cloud deployment. The HP LiveVault agent encrypts all data before transferring it from an organization’s servers, while in transit and at HP Autonomy’s secure, offsite, underground data centers.
  • HP Data Protector helps businesses protect their critical application data on premises—for both virtual and physical environments—enabling them to meet their most demanding data protection service level agreements, while minimizing their overall infrastructure costs.

"We provide peace of mind to a staggering number of organizations around the world by ensuring that they have seamless business continuity regardless the cause of the disruption or threat to the business,” said David Jones, general manager, Data Protection, HP Autonomy. “The continued success of HP Autonomy’s data protection business is a testament to our unique, intelligent approach and ongoing dedication to customer satisfaction and success.”
