HP Awarded U.S. General Services Administration Connections II Contract for Telecommunications Services

PALO ALTO, Calif. -- HP Enterprise Services today announced it has been selected by the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) as one of 21 vendors to provide federal agency sponsored buildings and campuses with telecommunications infrastructure services and products under the Connections II contract.

The Connections II multiple-award contract offers comprehensive network services that support the integration of telecommunications, networking and applications to meet equipment, labor, building and campus infrastructure needs. The indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract has a $5 billion ceiling and a base of three years and three months, with six one-year options.

HP will provide solutions in communications, IT infrastructure services, networking, operations and maintenance, as well as customer service, building and campus facility preparation, and technical support to U.S. federal agencies. Additionally, HP has assembled a team of leading service providers, including nine small businesses, to support the GSA contract.

“Agencies looking to modernize and streamline the management of their telecommunications environment can turn to GSA’s Connections II contract vehicle,” said Marilyn Crouther, senior vice president and general manager, U.S. Public Sector, HP Enterprise Services. “As a long-time service provider to GSA, HP has a proven track record of delivering the advanced technologies that will be available under Connections II.”

The GSA Connections II contract replaces Connections I, which is scheduled to conclude in January 2012. Currently, HP provides telecommunications and network services under GSA Connections I and the Networx contract vehicle.

In a world of continuous connectivity, HP enables agencies to become Instant-On Governments with technology, security and innovation embedded throughout their organizations to deliver immediate services to citizens and clients.
