HP Renews Global IT Outsourcing Contract With SKF

HP Enterprise Services transform SKF’s applications and infrastructure

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, March 14, 2012 – HP Sverige AB today announced that SKF has renewed its global IT outsourcing contract with HP Enterprise Services for an additional five years. Under the new agreement, HP will transform SKF's applications and infrastructure to improve IT services delivery for 20,000 users in 42 countries.

SKF is a leading global supplier of bearings, seals, mechatronics, lubrication systems and related services. Its customers include OEM and end-users in many industries worldwide.

HP has delivered application and infrastructure services to SKF for the past 10 years. Under the new agreement, HP will provide ApplicationsDevelopment and Management services to improve SKF's applications performance, quality and reliability with measurable service levels. As part of the applications integration, HP Business Exchange Services will optimise SKF's business processes to streamline supply chains with vendors, customers, and other external partners.

HP will offer industry-leading support by fielding more than 10,000 service desk support calls per month. HP Data Center Services will operate SKF's mainframe processing, manage thousands of servers and network devices, and deliver improvements in system uptime.

HP will deliver these infrastructure and applications services from HP Global Delivery Centers to give SKF superior cost efficiency and flexibility. As the SKF Group expands, HP delivers the ability to support growth in the AsiaPacific region and to merge newly acquired companies into the IT infrastructure without disruption.
