How does the Trade In work?

Step 1 : Quote

Submit your old device details and contact information to receive an estimated trade-in value. Our IT Asset Disposition team will send you the IT Asset Disposition Service Agreement for your signature, which you’ll need to return to process your request.
Step 2 : Recovery

ITAD team will issue a Credit note based on your used IT equipment’s trade-in value. You can schedule the collection of your traded-in device. Once received at our facility, the device will undergo data sanitisation, repurposing, or recycling, depending on its condition.
Step 3 : Upgrade

Our Sales Team will assist you to select the best products that meet your requirements, and you can apply the trade-in value towards your new PC purchase.

What types of devices are eligible for this service?

Both HP and non-HP devices are eligible for trade-in; however, devices must be functional or capable of being made functional. Devices considered scrap, rubbish, or hazardous waste are not accepted but can be processed through HP's recycling services.

How does the device collection process work?

HP Pickup: Devices should be available at the designated central location and ready for collection. An HP carrier will pick up the devices from your site. Packaging materials are provided.
Self-Shipping: Follow the provided shipping instructions to send your devices to the designated address. Devices must arrive within 7 to 20 business days after accepting the quote.

What happens to my data on the devices?

All storage media will be erased or destroyed as per industry standards (NIST Special Publication 800-88 Revision 1):

Data Sanitisation: For functional media, data will be permanently erased and will not be able to recover be unrecoverable.
HDD/SDD Destruction: If data wipe fails then media will be is degaussed and physically destroyed as per NIST standards.

How is the value of my devices determined?

The value is determined based on device specifications, aging and condition.

What reports will I receive after the service?

Audit and Financial Report: Details of all devices received, configurations, conditions, original quotes, final prices, data sanitisation, and logistic fees.
Certificate of Data Sanitisation: Official certification following NIST recommendations.
Sustainability Benefit Report: Your contribution to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, expressed in carbon dioxide equivalent.

Are there additional charges for specific services?

Yes, additional charges apply for:

Specific Timed Collections: Collections outside normal business hours or on weekends.
Onsite Services: Onsite data sanitisation and device assessment may incur extra fees.

How does this service support sustainability efforts?

Environmental Contribution: Devices are refurbished or recycled, reducing electronic waste.
Sustainability Reporting: Receive a report quantifying your greenhouse gas emission reductions.
Circular Economy: Supports reuse of materials, minimising environmental impact.

What if my devices are deemed non-functional upon receipt?

If devices are not as described or are non-functional beyond repair, the original quote may be adjusted. An initial non- binding quote will be provided , which many be adjusted after the audit, if discrepancies are found.
